We stayed here for 3 nights in April in a beach cottage. I was traveling with my parents and my 2 young children (1 and 3). The hotel is very lovely and the beach cottages very tastefully done. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor shower in the cottage and the front balcony. We ate at the restaurant most of the time... More

Our second stay at Life in Amed was as good as the first. The check in process is a breeze, with all the staff warm and friendly. We had the same room as last year which is very nice. Pool and gardens are well maintained, as are the rooms. Plenty of hot water (unlike our previous hotel in Tuban), open... More

Simplicity is Life in Amed's strength. The hotel has great (and inexpensive) with great food, warm and friendly staff, and situated right on the beach. Yes..... it's small but it has the essentials; big beds, aircon, swimming pool and WIFI (free too). No pool towels here but complimentary sarongs on arrival (available for purchase). Snorkelling gear is available for hire... More

The hotel is fine - nice and clean and friendly, food was good - but the snorkel I just took the children on was unbelievably filthy. There was so much rubbish in the water and some sort of scum on top - lots of plastic bags and other rubbish.Unfortunately, the local villagers don' t clean up their litter, so this... More

Life in Amed was the best, most beautiful place I have ever stayed in Bali!!! It was the first trip away together for myself and my Balinese partner so we wanted somewhere romantic and special. Life in Amed rewarded us with so many special memories- snuggles on the daybed on the front porch watching the world go by.. sparkling pool... More

Fall asleep listening to the sounds of the ocean and enjoy the views of the green slopes while showering. Enjoy the good food at the restaurant, the chai tea was our favorite. Watch the fishermen prepare their boats for the coming night. Local life is just around the corner and still many places to eat, have a drink etc.

I feel terrible about a previous review regarding all the children screaming at the pool all day. I was part of this group and can see why this might ruin someone's vacation. SORRY! We were all parents from the same school in Bali and were having a holiday at this lovely resort. Unfortunately we did not book all the rooms... More

Life in Amed is truly a beautiful small hotel. The bungalows are gorgeous and the attention to detail is amazing. We particularly loved the outdoor shower and the spacious terrace where we sat in the evenings. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the (inclusive) breakfasts were good. We were surprised that the hotel did not have its own... More

The bungalows are beautiful, spacious and stylish. There is free Internet and drinking water. The pool has a kiddie area. The breakfast is VERY good. We'd like to come back.

Small charming resort with extremely gracious and endearing staff. We stayed in the big new beach house (still to get kitchen and a few bits) which is a beautiful space for some down time. We snorkelled the Japanese wreck which is ok and within walking distance to the east. We had bad weather which makes snorkeling anywhere poor. Resort restaurant... More
