Wow - what an amazing stay we had at Life In Amed!
The Perfumed Garden Villa was such a beautiful home away from home and we all enjoyed it immensely!
The staff were wonderful - so helpful and so on the ball with everything -...More
I've been staying at Life in Amed for the past two weeks. I came right when the level 4 volcano threat had been issued and everyone has gone above and beyond to make me feel safe and secure. The staff has prepared the property for...More
We had a cottage (number 4) just next to the pool. In fact, this is a boutique hotel and all cottages are very close to the pool, the beach, the restaurant at the entrance.
I particularly enjoyed Yoga Shala studio above the restaurant, good classes,...More
My family stay was 7 night. Kids are 10and 12. We had a lovely stay. Rooms are exactly as advertised and plenty of room for the four of us. Showers good and the food and services above expectations...amazing. Lovely village on either side which was...More
Very nice villa next to beach for two couples (one bathroom). 3 night stay. Decent restaurant. We left early in the mornings for diving. Very beautiful sunrises with Rinjani Volcano in the background as the fishing sailboat fleet returned. Hint: use fill flash for people...More

Apologies, I did not see your question... we are in a safe zone here.. no snakes, that is silly press, not reality. Our days are normal, the tremors have stopped for now..we are behind another mountain and also have protected our rooms and restaurant area and many supplies and water on hand.. In Amed as a safe zone are 3000 evacuees from the slopes of Mt Agung.. spread throughout the area.. a fast boat to Gili will leave our village on Oct 20th and boats should resume shortly after that. We have no idea when the volcano may erupt, for now the biggest dilemma is to find a way guests feel safe enough to return after all the sensational press reports that were not entirely true...
Apologies if we missed you this time..

The little cottages are actually quite roomy and really comfortable. Work fabulously with 2 adults + 2 kids. They have air con and fans. Its such a friendly place if you had one or two things for a fridge they'd probably store them or you can easily order ice / icebucket.
We stay at the Villa Paradiso because its got a lounge (with rather basic couch), outdoor dining and lots of space. You're paying for the extra room, but it does have a tiny fridge. We move the fridge in to the lounge area. I wouldn't pay extra to upgrade just for a fridge, but I would highly recommend the Paradiso because its so lovely! The Paradiso is the better of the 2 bigger villas.
