Our family of 9 spent the week here. We were graciously welcomed with a drink and met the friendly staff who explained thoroughly what they would do for us. They seriously were at our beck & call. They made suggestions & recommendations for tours & restaurants which were outstanding. Made, our driver for the week, was always available & very informative & extremely kind & helpful. He would direct us to restaurants where he knew we wouldn’t get sick…and non of us did. He accommodated us if we were looking for a certain souvenir, he could find it. The ladies (Sani, Su & Juni) had the coffee available for those of us who need our coffee first thing. All we had to do was press the button in the coffee maker. The breakfasts were amazing every morning with all the local fruits cut to perfection-so much work for the 9 of us. We enjoyed fruit we’ve never tried before. Our meals were fixed just the way we requested. They were also helpful & informative. They would guide us as to what we should do. Our rooms were always clean when we returned from breakfast. They also would get our laundry cleaned on the day we left it for Juni. The groundskeepers were always cleaning the site & the pool. We went snorkeling & the man who provided the equipment was very careful to make our masks & tubes fit just right. He actually asked me one day when I was at the resort by myself if he could get me something to eat. They had dancers come in the last night to perform. They were absolutely amazing! Sani & Su prepared a free meal on our last night too. It included so many delicious choices and they spent all afternoon cooking. It was wonderful! The staff went above and beyond what we expected. We couldn’t have been more pleased. Kudos to all of them.

From the moment I met my driver soon to be friend Made, until I said goodbye to my new friends Suni, Juni, and Sue who prepared and served delicious food and cared for my villa space, I felt comfort and ease. The Jepun Bali Villa property, nestled in the hills of the area of Amed Bali, has a breathtaking view of the ocean from the pool oasis of mid property, and is worth the long ride from the airport in Denpasar Bali.
My villa had a large comfy bed, an outdoor lounge and two ample en suite showers, one indoors and the other outdoors.
I dined mornings outside before heading out to beautiful historic sites, points of interest, shops and wonderful local restaurants for casual fine dining and libations. My most loved available amenities: I highly recommend taking full advantage of the masseuse for an hour long outdoor massage. During my massage I heard the sound of cascading water, smelled the subtle fragrant massage oil, and felt the relaxation of my mind and body. I had 3 massages during my 7 day stay. On the night before my departure I throughly enjoyed a delicious Balinese dinner prepared on property followed by a display of Balinese cultural dance. My restoration was complete. Thank you Jepun Bali Villas team - Well Done!

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveler reviews.
My boyfriend and I spent a week here and we could not speak highly enough about the property and staff. I was nervous about visiting in November during the 'wet season' but it only rained twice for a short time and any clouds we saw made for gorgeous sunsets. It is a unique experience to stay at a resort of only 4 private villas, but everyone we met was friendly and respectful. We spent a lot of time relaxing by the pool talking to the other guests. Sunny and Made were really helpful with providing recommendations for restaurants to visit or excursions to go on. The entire staff was extremely welcoming and hospitable.
Because the location is 2.5 - 3+ hours from the airport, we booked a hotel Seminyak for our couple nights after our stay at Jepun Bali Villa. I would recommend doing that for anyone traveling as far as we did (from New York). That way you don't have to start your cross continental travel day driving across Bali. I would also recommend taking out cash wherever you can find the cheapest exchange rate, because you want to be able to tip at the end of your stay.
We had the most relaxing time here, would recommend it to anyone.

This resort is hands down the most beautiful place we've ever stayed...and we've stayed all over the world. The villas were absolute perfection - from the incredible outdoor shower to the netting covered, solid wooden beds with the best pillows and softest bedding, to the beautiful art work and wooden sculptures. We felt like we were visiting family. Every staff member treated us with such kindness and generosity. The chefs were incredible...best food we had on the whole island! We were pampered every waking hour with the beautiful ocean views, the perfectly situated pool, and just the right combination of sunshine and shade from the flowering trees throughout the property. The workout room was perfect as well, and the location just right...Close enough to some activity but has the village feel. We are so grateful to have experienced Bali at the Jepun Bali Villa and we will definitely be back! Thank you for the perfect vacation!

The property is absolutely gorgeous. Review based on a stay when all 4 villas were in use and a child present:
Location: Amed. Mostly for those who just want to lounge and do water activities (boat rides, swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving). Not the best place for a 1st timer in Bali who wants to see sites. It is very far from the airport.
Property: very lovely. The pool area is great. The stairs are steep but just pace yourself. There are lovely ponds around with live fish. Definitely a treat. It is not right on the beach. The closest beach is directly across the street but unfortunately it is a beach with rocks and not sand. For a beach with sand, you can have the driver take you about 15 minutes away.
Transportation: Made is a great driver and very patient. He explains things clearly. The included transportation only includes transport to and from the airport, and within Amed. There is no clear cost of transportation for sightseeing and it is a bit hand-wavy when you ask for an exact cost. It was very difficult to plan even when we tried to go around with other guests.
I would highly suggest considering including some sort of sightseeing package as an add-on or included for guests with explicit pricing.
Massage: very affordable and relaxing if this is your thing. The ladies were great.
Meals: only breakfast is included in the cost. The options are very limited. Drinks in the villa refrigerator and all other meals are marked up significantly compared to surrounding restaurants and markets. Dinner and lunch menus offer more options.
Value for cost: low. It would be much better to stay close to Ubud if you want to see sights. But there are also better options in Amed in terms of cost, activities, and accessibility to other areas.

Thank you Diva for your review- appreciate the mention of the staff and how lovely the grounds are and massages as well. Yes we are not in the hustle bustle of some of the other parts of the island but for many that is perfect as our area is often referred to as the "Real Bali". I do understand it is not for all but the charm and to see the locals up close how they live in the village is not seen in many of the other areas unfortunately. All the best and thank you for your visit to Jepun!!

Truly a one of a kind experience starting at Jepun Villa in Ames Bali.
The villas are great for couple and there are 4 of them = 4 couples .
Very well maintained by the staff. The staff of Sunny and crew are great and do everything they can to help you while you’re here and in Amed . Your choice of balinese or american breakfast every morning to get you started . You can explore all day long the beaches or shops or restaurants (Warungs) in Amed every day . The food cooked by the staff is really good with some western options as well . Generally the staff leaves during the day from 11am ish to 4 ish pm while you run around town with Madè as your driver . There is a small binder of excursions and i definitely recommend waiting until you arrive and feel the vibe of the other couples to book your days . Most days we booked the night before or morning of for that days adventures . The villas themselves are well maintained and definitely feel like paradise . Daily massages are for a very low rate and the first massage is included in the package . Again the staff was amazing and are here to help you with everything you need .
Overall a trip to remember and highly recommended .

Similar to other posts, we purchased this vacation at a charity auction. When we found out the resort was a total of 4 villas, we recruited 3 other couples and had the whole resort to ourselves. We visited in May 2022. The accommodations are beautiful and very well kept. Each room has its own bathroom and an additional outdoor shower (a real treat), along with a small gym, pool table and massage area. We took advantage of the laundry services and massages, which did not disappoint!! The staff is excellent. They are extremely friendly and helpful. We had them arrange for a suckling pig and they made a phenomenal Balinese feast with traditional dancers. It was a highlight of the trip! The driver - Made - was patient and kind and took us all around the island. We visited the Monkey Forest, Ubud, temples and took the boat over to Gilli to snorkel with the turtles. We were well taken care of and I would highly recommend this resort.

The attention to detail “Bali Style” is incredible. A hillside resort composed of only 4 modern villas allows for the ultimate personal experience; this is just the beginning. The vaulted ceiling, canopied teak 4 poster bed, the inside and outside shower and beautiful stone and marble features along with the round basin sinks are warm and inviting. The sliding doors to your private Bale with a lounge bed is perfect for an evening beverage. The furniture is upscale, contemporary in the main area and the conical ceiling and living and dining area allows for gathering. Local art and hand carved statues in the rooms and in the lushly landscaped terraced property invite a peaceful and relaxing vibe. The landscape design brings many Balinese features together. Here is where the details bring you in touch with the natural surroundings. Courtyard gardens, water features with an infinity pool, as well as a cascading waterfall with its beautiful sounds and shade trees allows rejuvenation. The early morning sounds of nature are refreshing. No detail has been overlooked. The staff are incredibly talented and helpful. It compares to a Four Seasons but it’s size allows for an ultimately upscale but unpretentious experience.

This is a beautiful property in the quiet beach town of Amed, away from the busy scene on the other side of the island. The exceptional staff made our stay in Amed one to remember by making us delicious meals, driving us all over the East side of the island and helping us explore the cultural sites of Bali. They helped us understand and explore the unique Balinese culture.
The property itself is beautiful and very well maintained with a beautiful pool and stunning views of the Indian Ocean.
I cannot recommend this highly enough to anyone wanting a home base from which to explore Aned and the East side of Bali.

If you're reading this it's likely you're considering bidding on a package, yes you should. If you're reading it's also likely because you have bought this package, congratulations, you'll love it.
The staff is absolutely wonderful, inviting, and makes you feel like honored family. The food they prepared at the resort was absolutely delicious including the best onion rings I've had my entire life. The rooms were kept immaculate. Laundry service was amazing. And the massages are to die for relaxing.
The location to Amed was a moderate walk or a very short drive with several very delicious restaurants within a few minutes walk away. It's a quieter area, compared to Ubud, Seminyak, or Denpaser, and that was a welcome relief.
Being a tad out of the way, you can stay as busy or as quiet as you want. Diving the liberty ship was a once in a life time moment. We spent a day visiting the Gili Islands. We devoted a day just hanging out in Amed which was so much fun. We spent our last day laying on the outdoor Bali bed enjoying tropical rains. At no point were we board, at no point did we ever feel rushed!
My wife and I felt very blessed to have been able be a small part of the Jepun Bali Villas story.
