I stayed in the bungalows for 11 nights I total and couldnt have asked for a more beautiful place to stay. I was diving with Adventure Divers for 3 weeks, so after staying at another homestay down the road, I was invited to stay at Geria Giri which made the morning starts a lot easier.

The villas are spacious, clean and have a beautiful traditional design with modern fixtures. They contain both air con and a fan, which made the whole stay even more comfortable.

Additionally, they offer a delicious breakfast every morning included in the nightly price, and as many refreshments as you can drink. No danger of dehydration in this resort.

The staff were attentive and friendly, got to know a couple of them over the few weeks and they always went out of their way for me.

I would definitely recommend staying at Geria Giri while in Amed, especially if you plan to dive with Adventure Divers.

GERIA GIRI SHANTI…
…means House on the Hill and is the name of our favorite place to stay in all of Indonesia (perhaps in all of SE Asia). Located on Jemeluk Beach on the east end of Bali, the bungalows are lovely, surrounded by lush greenery. The owners, Liselotte (Belgian) and David (British) are lovely people and great hosts. At $25/night low season rate, including breakfast and free all-day coffee, it’s a brilliant deal ($30/night high season is still a bargain).

From the first time we stayed at Geria Giri Shanti Bungalows, it felt like home. Liselotte and David are the best hosts, no question it too much. The bungalows are just perfect for divers staying in Amed to see the underwater life: clean, a nice private terrace, a very good bed and airco, and at that price! And enough space to keep al your scuba & UW photography gear, a decent rack to dry your wet clothes and bikini. The staff is asking you all day long if you want something to drink, hospitality does not get better than this! If you haven't tried their ice cappuccino's and their (not sweeted) juices yet …. You really should! This is 5***** service at an honest price! Upon arrival you get a list of usefull tips, where to go for a good meal (there are options where you can walk, but also resto's who pick you up and bring you back, or you can rent a scooter to be a part of the bali life), where to go for a massage, ideas for daytrips, booking of transfers to your next stop in Bali. And on top of that, they have the best dive school in Amed!

I've just had the pleasure of staying at Geria Giri Shanti Bungalows for 5 weeks on my first ever trip to Bali.
Located less than 5 minutes walk to Amed centre, the bungalows are quite unique in their setting with tropical tree cover and other native plants keeping the temperature degrees cooler than other accommodation and lending a real Balinese ambience to my stay.
The bungalows also have a traditional Balinese feel, are clean, serviced daily, cooled by aircon, with additional fans making sure the bungalows are comfortable. Hot water for washing and showers was always available.
The staff are superb; friendly, helpful, patient and polite. Nothing ever seemed to be too much trouble, with Liselotte providing great support as I settled in and many recommendations of places to visit and places to eat.
Getting to the bungalows from the airport was as easy as asking Liselotte to arrange a taxi. The fare was cheaper than alternatives I had researched and the driver a great guy who was confident and competent navigating the Balinese traffic.
I'm returning to Bali again soon. I'll be returning to Geria Giri Shanti Bungalows.

Stayed here whilst diving with Adventure Divers. The rooms are simple but clean and are in a lovely setting. The owners and staff are the most friendly you will find anywhere and make your stay a relaxing experience. Special thanks to Morgan for her advise on the best places to eat in the area. The grounds have a central area which is a gathering place for divers and snorkellers where you will always find someone to chat to.

I love the room I stayed in. It was the double room. Everything you need is available. Big space, fan, AC, comfortable bed, hot water for shower, drinking water near the room. It was so cozy. The surrounding is also very calming. It is surrounded by plants, trees, and that makes the guest house even more comfortable. Good breakfast as well. Thw staffs all were very welcoming and nice. I love that I found them. Thanks again Morgan, David and Lisa🧡💛🤍✨

This was my 4th trip to Amed, but first time staying in the Geria Giri Shanti Bungalows. First off, the price makes it seem like a budget place, but this place was amazing. We have stayed at places that are 5 times the cost but not nearly as nice. The staff is great and helpful, and the fact that it is attached to the best dive shop in Amed is a plus. Great place to stay. We will be back. All the staff speak english too, which is huge in Indonesia.

Lovely clean houses with aircon in a beautiful tropical garden. Everything you need is there. Friendly staff. On the premises of the diving center Adventure Divers, so the ideal location for a diving holiday.

I think I can answer all of your questions. The property is situated in the middle of the town. The 'town' is stretched out along a single road that runs along the coastline. Certainly most if all rooms face the ocean, but are in gardens and I don't think there are ocean views. The property is on the land side of the road - not the ocean side. You can access the beach through the property directly opposite - this is an open arrangement and we did this a few times. There are many bars and restaurants (mainly restaurants that serve drinks - there is not a big 'bar scene' in Amed. The property has fruit juice/ tea and coffee all day that you can have on your room veranda, at a meeting place near reception, or in the breakfast meals area. The property serve breakfast but the only other meals are quick lunches for those on a dive course. They sell cold soft drink and beer at reasonable prices (again for in your room/ balcony, or with other guests in the meeting place). Management will recommend places to eat. Some are walking distance. They will also recommend and arrange free transport to good restaurants that are too far to walk. I recommend this place. Rick
