We stayed 5 nights at Jukung Bali. The location is great, right by the beach and not too close to the road, so quiet enough. There are many options for lunch and dining around. The bungalows are large, with a verandah, attached outdoor bathroom, hot water, air con. You get your breakfast served in front of your room. The whole atmosphere is very relaxed. There are day beds. The beach in front is, like all places in the area, black sand and pebbles. The water is clear, there is good snorkeling just in front and, even though much of the coral is dead, there is still interesting marine life : we saw turtles almost every time. The views from the beach are great, ... gorgeous sunsets with Gunung Agung in the background. This place would get 5 stars review with a little bit of effort on maintenance. You have to ask for having your room cleaned (which was always done ok) but why not simply clean the rooms systematically every day? In spite of these details, I would recommend this place and would be happy to come back. Staff is friendly.

Highly recommend Jukung Bali. Beautiful garden setting right on the beach in Amed. Large Bungalows. Very Clean. We stayed in Bungalow Seaview 3. Unique large outdoor, but very private bathroom. Air conditioner and fridge in the room. King size bed. Large balcony with day bed and table setting. Great location with good restaurants and beach close by. Day beds on the beach for chilling out for the day. Great sunrise and amazing sunset 🙏.

The bungalows themselves are large and very clean. The four bungalows are right on the beach and surrounded by garden. Each has a large veranda were we spent most of out time, me on the day bed. The staff are friendly and helpful, overall it is a very relaxing place to stay which is why we booked our next holiday there.

Picked us up from airport 500,000 Rp. Stayed 4 nights and paid 2,200,200 Rp ($206) for the duration. Amed was such a quiet non touristy place. Great views of ocean from room 'sea view 2' and from our bed. Room clean and tidy and set up was great with storage, wooden bench and fridge in room - though mozzy net could do with repairing and got bite quite a bit. Ceiling fan was also inadequate at night as so hot and couldn't open windows because of holey mozzy net. Nice hot shower in open bathroom. Lovely day bed outside the room provided a great spot to watch sunset. Also overlooked a fish pond, crabs on sand behind the day bed, gheckos and bats also visited. 2 towels were provided. Breakfast was adequate for us (toast and fresh juice). Best section of beach is outside jukung a bit more sandied. Pebbles in either direction so reef shoes are a must and pebbles get hot too. Sun beds are available in jukung. Beach sellers were a pest, even if you say no they come back 10 mins later. Good snorkelling outside jukung. Also turn right and go down beach as far as u can go, sun lounges r free if you buy drinks. There is a yellow flag in sea which marks submerged shrine, snorkelling good there as well. Plenty of places to go for food and drinks. Also little mini mart across main road. A bigger mini marketis left down main road 5mins walk. Warung pyramid (left down beach) is a no no for food but okay for drinks. Amed cafe (left down beach) is expensive for drinks. Warung celangi (right down beach) is cheap drinks and food (tasty too). Small time cafe (right down main road) had great burgers. 5 min walk right down main road is place called camessa exchanged money which was good ratd of 10,800 for $1 AUD. Also got us cheap taxi to pandang bai for 300,000.

Lovely views of the sunrise over the sea from our bungalow with a shady terrace on the beachfront. No fishing boats on the beach in front of the property as the reef in front is very shallow so it's very peaceful and quiet. This place has such potential and once upon a time must have been lovely. Sadly it is not being maintained and unless something is done to fix all the little things people will just stop coming. We stayed 5 days and never once saw anyone doing anything about the place except sweep up leaves and sprinkle the dry gardens briefly with a hose. The outdoor shower is a broken pipe, the garden tap dripped constantly and the fish pond is in a woeful state. The towel rail in our bathroom was broken, the bamboo cups filthy, the mosquito net had holes in it and was falling down, the curtains were grubby - I could go on and on..... C'mon guys - it really doesn't take a lot to fix these things. Where were you all day long and what on earth were you doing? The property just next door towards Jemeluk Bay has the same set up of rooms, a sparkling clean pool and a breakfast area come restaurant right on the beach with attentive staff, beautiful gardens, a lovely reception area with books to read and it's CHEAPER!!!!! It was also fully booked whereas Jukung Bali only had us and just one other guest. Having to go and ask the chap who swept the leaves if we could please have breakfast every morning is not on. Sad really :(
