Room was very good and clean. Food was too good. Homely experience. Situated on Bank of Chamble river with beautiful terrace gardens. Very peaceful & romantic hotel. Above all hotel staff was well disciplined.

Our stay at the Brijraj Bhawan Palace Hotel was simply magnificent!!! Relaxing outdoors in the beautiful gardens next to this historic hotel was perfect after a long day of site seeing in the city! The accommodations were wonderful and the service was great. Couldn't have asked for more!

A must stay if you are visiting Kota. Wonderful old colonial era building being used as a hotel. The room was showing it's age but it was clean and things worked, at least in my rather grand room. Has a nice restaurant and a cosy bar. And the Kingfisher was served cold as it should be.

Old fashioned hotel that has a uniquely colonial feel to it. Large comfortable room, individual wifi, and normal amenities expected today. At times we had individual service which feels strange but very good- very attentive. Could do with a bar and bottles of water in the rooms but overall an enjoyable experience

This small boutique hotel, which is housed within the residence of the Kotah royal family, is dripping with atmosphere and history. Originally built in the early 19th century as the residency for the British Political Agent, Brijraj Bhavan was acquired by the Maharao of Kotah in the early 20th century (as a state guest house). It then became the permanent...

Staying at Briraj Bhavan was an absolute pleasure. It is a quiet and relaxing place to stay, with a lovely garden, terrace and wonderful view overlooking the river. The rooms are very spacious, clean and wonderfully furnished. The staff is extremely helpful and kind - they organised a fantastic sightseeing trip through both Kota and Bundi. The evenings at Briraj...

Room was very comfortable, spacious and clean. Out of the room I was immediately in the garden with a beautiful view on the river. You can admire that view under the shades of the old trees and a little breeze in the evening made it just perfect. I highly recommend this place, if you wish to stay in a more...

In October 2015 I have stayed for a couple of days at Brijraj Bhawan in Kota. The location of the hotel is just perfect for sightseeing trips, like the old fort in the city (miniature paintings), boat trip (I saw crocodiles and sloth bears), and historical monuments (cenotaphs). Staying at Brijraj Bhawan was charming: A well maintained palace, picturesque view...

The hotel looks more like a house than a hotel. One can expect a few irregularities too. The erudite former ruler of Kota still lives in a part of this mansion which was once the British Residency. The food is good, and the ambience is regal yet friendly with royal memorabilia, family souvenirs and wildlife trophies decorating the rooms.

We stayed one night at the end of December 2012. I think we were the only people staying there. The rooms are charming, with period furniture, but very cold, and only small air heaters were available. The bathrooms are old but in good condion and very clean. The view from the lawn just outside the rooms is absolutely BREATHTAKING. The...
