We had gone to The Machhan in Lonavla during the first week of July for two nights three days. When you enter the gate of the resort it is like you are entering a forest. You feel one with nature and love it . When we visited it was raining most of the time. We stayed in two forest machhan... More

We stayed in forest machan for a night. The rooms very huge with magnificient view of forest and mountains. The whole concept of machan is awesome. But i dont feel its worth all that money. Even the beautiful view couldnt help me ignore the tacky-old bed covers and sheets..old towels..i didnt feel like putting it on me..the bathroom were full... More

The Machan is a great concept. The beautiful location amidst the forest and mountains is mesmerising. The way the machans have been built is a great feat of engineering and architecture. A good place to relax amidst nature away from city.

A fantastic location and breathtaking views are the hallmark of Machan- but that is about all that you can expect . Long-term neglect , lack of cleanliness, mismanagement , rodents, no amenities cumulatively manage to vanquish even the magic of nature's beauty ! Maybe you should consider visiting the Machan while it is still in business because with the management... More

My partner went all out to surprise me on my birthday. For the price one pays for a Machan (25k for a night), it's extremely overhyped, with poor service. There's hardly variety in the so-called buffet and poor room service (no drinking water provided beyond two small bottles, let alone a hot water kettle). I've been so multiple "au naturel"... More

Be ready for no internet and no phone connection. It's just you and your companions and nature. Be sure you have access instructions down pat as you may miss the langur signs and overshoot. Discovered a waterfall on this trip which need a short walk and is flowing during the monsoons. Cool and natural

We stayed one night at Sunset Machan during the rainy season. Booking was smooth. The hotel is very rigid on check in and check out timings. The room was big and interiors really beautiful. The bathtub in the balcony is nice although during rains its difficult to use the tub because the balcony is not fully covered with a roof.... More
