Very well looked after, lovey and simple home food which was abundant in portions. It came at the end of our two week trip and was brilliant for a relaxed environment and a soothing boat trip! The island was lovey and an organised walk was great.

We felt very welcome here and the food for breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner was amazing. The water buffalo curry was to die for! Unfortunately no activities were included in the price. It is a fantastic place to come and relax. Bring your own beer if you want any, we had to go back across the river to get some.

You need to know where to cross the river to reach Green Palm Homes, because it is on a calm island isolated from the main road. Once you reach the place, you arrive in a lovely big garden with several houses in which you have rooms with A/C (mandatory when we were there). Rooms are quite basic but this is... More

We stayed with Thomas and his lovely family who were great fun to be around. We really enjoyed going for birdspotting walks with them around the island and singing shanty songs on the boat ride back. It really was a magical experience- the best place we visited in India. Thomas and his wife stuffed us with delicious food every day... More

Green Palm Homes is a lovely homestay in a beautiful location. The family are great - Maria, Philip, Mathew and especially Anna and her tasty cooking! Anna showed us some yummy recipes which we will attempt to re-create at home! We did a small canoe trip through the backwaters which I would highly recommend. Room is comfortable and clean. Mosquitos... More

We loved the place, for its quiet and peacefull atmosphere on this kind of island in the backwaters, for Anna cooking and kindness and for Maria's capacity to help you out with everything. Kayaking through the little canals was a great experience as welle as the 'morning walk'. Rooms at Anna's place could be refreshed a bit (bathrooms especially). The... More

We stayed at the Green Palm Home stay for two nights and really enjoyed the area and home-stay itself. The family running Green Palm were very welcoming and we enjoyed excellent meals there. They also organised guided walks and canoe trips which were very good, we also explored the backwaters by our selves and found evrybody we met very friendly.

We found Green Palm on a blog which said how amazing it was. This was true! The backwaters of Kerala are beautiful, and this homestay is directly located at the waterside. The property itself is expansive, warm, cosy and lovely. We had a spacious double room, ensuite and AC (a must). We were greeted so warmly by Maria, the owner,... More

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel like one of the family. We were greeted with big smiles and lunch on the table...just like going round to Granma's house! Thomas took us on a very enjoyable afternoon walk and shared with us his knowledge of Kerala's history, culture and farming. Then surprised us with some folk songs... More

Ideal Homestay to explore the backwaters and get in contact with lokal people. The frindly family running this oasis of silence between the houseboat traffic jams on the water surrounding this island does everything to give their guests a good time with hiking, birdwatching, learning about the lokal flora or even cayaking to the spectakular sunsetpoints.
