Please do not stay at Knai Bang Chatt. Staff are not friendly, nosy and arrogant. Room was dusty and small musty. Aircon is not cold. Have geckos in the room. I stayed at room #6 from 6Jan2022-7Jan2022. I arrive at hotel about 3pm but when we check in to room floor was very dusty and room smell musty. Normally I walk around with bare foots but too dusty so I have to wear slipper. Then aircon is not cool, although it is 18C n full fan on. I call staff to fix it but still not cold. On our first night we wake up early because it is too hot. Morning 7Jan I go down to reception to tell staff to fix aircon again. There were two geckos, one is on celling and others one at side table where lamp is, they wake us up at night. Staff use to come to room to burn sense at night and bring small dessert. We didn't have that on our first night. Breakfast - I last stay at Knai Bang Chatt Feb2020 it is full buffet breakfast. This time it is ala carte which we fully understand during Covid period but we were limited by number dishes we can order and if we order more we have to pay extra. If we order cappuccino or cafe laté we have to pay. I have to fight with them to get full buffer ala carte and free cafe laté. On 6Jan we were the only guests stay there but they managed to piss us off. The whole stay was unpleasant. We don't feel welcome at all. Knai Bang Chatt use to be charming but right now it is going backwards.…
Hotel in beautiful surroundings except waterfront where garbage flow from next door fish market. Didn't want me to swimming in the sea from there, but hotel swimming pool was good. Rooms don't have tv's what was big disappointment to me although there was separate tv-room. Also bed was very low and it was hard to me since my knee is broken. But there was very good in wall couch. Ala carte +buffet breakfast was awesome.
I highly recommend this resort. The staff are excellent and the location and facilities stunning! We went for my husband’s birthday and we were looked after so well’ We had a private dinner arranged by the Executive Chef on the Jetty which was an truly amazing. Thank you! Angela Moore
I loved chilling here for a weekend and only left to eat at the sailing club. Having booked on the green offer I was absolutely delighted to be given one of 5 double sea view rooms. Anywhere that brings me cake in a wooden box at turn down time gets my vote every time! Staff were great - hardly noticeable but everything done professionally and with courtesy. Beautiful environment and so peaceful. Amazing food at the Strand and the sailing club. The only thing I'd have liked that I didn't have was a kettle. It's a wonderful bolt hole from Phnom Penh, which I love but need a break from, every so often. Will definitely be back.
The situation is amazing, quiet, nice, relax and the garden is beautifullllll. Amazing sea swimming pool for cocktail around trip. Temperature was perfect - fresh but not so, ideal for a long staying. Relax chairs in the top. Staff are really professional and cute smiling all the time .. up to the gardener. Boss is so gentle and available. Trip was an amazing love story moment. Food was delicious including a real breakfast buffet.... Thanks patronne for the moment
Amazing views, panoramic scenery with an exquisite environment made for all types of guests! Family or friends, it’s pure bliss. There is a pier which extends far too, great for photos, sailing, kayaking, drinks, pool, snooker, movies, outdoor activities, and not to mention the food is WOW. Overall great experience, highly recommend.
We spend few days and everything was perfect. The view on the morning is breathtaking... delicious breakfast served in front of the sea, the swimming pool is surrounded by luxurious vegetation with sea view. Perfect place to disconnect and relax. The staff are charming, professional and helpful. They helped my husband organizing a surprise for me, just amazing. Thank you all for this magical moment. Take the time to try a massage at the spa, so relaxing
Our 2nd trip to Kep and we decided to stay by the sea shore at Knai Bang Chatt for 4 nights. Beautiful view and really good breakfast and pool. We stayed in room 12. Downstairs next to the pool and had a great view of the sea. The price they're charging their guests doesn't suffice the quality and condition of the rooms and service of their staff. Our room was very dark and is outdated. At times room smelt of humidity. We spent most of our time by the pool. Our room had this very gloomy feeling to it. Staff were friendly but need to be trained. A lot of glassware left around the pool and I had to ask staff several times for it to be removed on different occasions. Some were left overnight! Sailing club next door was closed all week and only open for wkends. That was a major downer for us. Dinner menu needs to have more variety. There's not a lot of places open in Kep to eat. We didn't see any hotel manager around!! A shame because we really loved the place just so expensive for the quality of the rooms and staff service.…
Great place, good prices in the covid times, warm welcome from the GM and the staff, we’ve spent 3 great days looking at the see, sleeping and chilling around the sleepy Kep town. Great place for a short-trip out of Phnom Penh.
I had heard so many good things about this place and was excited when we decided to head down to Knai Bang Chatt for an extended weekend. We booked via email, they were prompt to reply and respond. Upon arrival, the receptionist was friendly but lack of interaction. He did not inform us about the facilities they have, breakfast time or suggestions on the in-house restaurant. After a long drive, a cold towel or water would be great (usually hotels provide cold towels and a welcome drink). It was a dry welcome. Also, we noticed that the reception and the sailing club do not communicate since we wanted to know more about sailing and we were asked to go over to the sailing club (which we did not mind, but if the could call for us so that we can have our quick inquiry that would seem more helpful). The room - the decor was traditionally decorated which I like. The shower place needed a bit of scrubbing, toilet a bit smelly. Pillow was a little hard and the cushions on the sofa were dirty. However, we could cope with it. We did enjoy the surroundings - the pool, view, the lounges - brilliant! The breakfast was good and the F&B team were efficient. The sailing club manager Neil was friendly and we had a great time talking to him and taking the sailboat out one afternoon. Totally recommended. We would return again for some relaxation.…
