Spent one night on my biking trip - hotel was easily asseccible within the city - room was serviceable and ok comfort wise - TV did not work or the remote needed new batteries (not sure which) - the breakfast was a big disappointment - the hotel would be better served if they offered fresh bread and fruit jam with... The hotel (despite other reviews) is conveniently located and the reception staff were friendly and efficient. Irks me a bit when reviewers complain of limited English - this is Cambodia, not London! But the bed was full of bedbugs, not just a few, riddled with them. Both of us were covered in red bites and welts after a sleepless night.... More

The hotel has definitely taken on board some of the negative comments and now provide a kettle and hairdryer, the problem was where to plug them in. The plug was behind the bedside cabinet and falling out of the wall. A member of staff plugged the kettle in for us but warned us not to touch it. The kettle then worked... More

I was on a day trip and decided to stay in Kampot and was told this hotel was ok, by someone who always took the VIP room. If you are going to stay here take the VIP room, I had to take two rooms because I had all the kids with me so had a standard and a twin. The... More

This hotel was decent and comfortable. The rooms were very clean and so were the linens. Many English speaking channels and the AC is cold/showers are hot. Basic accommodations and good food at the restaurant. Try their iced coffee. The staff speaks little English but are helpful.

On the positive side, the rooms are clean and after a discussion with reception they were persuaded to fix the AC in the room. However, with so many other choices available in Kampot this hotel should be a last resort. The rooms aren't double glazed so every motorcycle and barking dog can he heard clearly all night, and the local... More

The Diamond hotel is an older hotel in Kampot, as the town grows newer hotels are springing up, but the Diamond is satisfactory. The prices are reasonable and the hotel is not far from the town, within easy walking distance. It is set back one street from the River.

This was our 4th visit. We had a lovely VIP room. Very clean. Fantastic shower. Fabulous views. English is improving, at last. Friendly staff, from security man to restaurant staff. We must stress that this is the only real hotel in Kampot. Breakfast fine for Cambodia. We did suggest that they should consider offering a continental type breakfast. It would... More

Nice, newish hotel located two blocks from the river. The room was big with a balcony. The AC worked fine, the bed was on the firm side but I like it like that, the breakfasts were ok, and I would stay again. The only snag was that, since this a bit off the tourist route, the English at the front... More
