We stayed at Pippali for two nights. The staff was very friendly and helped us to organise several trips (pepper plantation with cooking class, Kep, cave temple). The room was new and clean with enough space for the luggage. As in other reviews mentioned the mattress is a bit hard but comfortable. The bathroom was clean with a spacious shower. The breakfast was à la carte and served in the garden. As the hotel is located in the south of Kampot, you need a 10 minutes walk along the river to get to downtown. The way is well lit in the evening, so you feel quite safe when you walk home. We can definitely recommend this hotel.
Super nice boutique hotel. Rooms were clean and new, and we found the beds very comfortable. Great variety of breakfast choice which is served a la carte. We loved the friendly staff who organized a driver, pepper farm tour and cooking class at very fair prices. Garden & pool are ideal to relax or have a drink. Perfect location, with 5-10min walk to city center. We will come back!
This was a good bite let down by poor design. The manager and staff are very friendly and helpful and the pictures are accurate. WiFi and AC were good for us and the room is modern. Unfortunately the design is a little poor. There is a floor to ceiling window in the bathroom covered by a screen and wooden slats meaning it’s always open. Adequate privacy but it lets in the wind from outside, this caused the metal sliding door to rattle all night in its frame. The balcony door also did not shut. These combined let in a lot of noise during the night. The pool is nice and the location is excellent. It warrants the three star rating but could be a 4 with some minor physical changes.
It was OK (cannot give more than that as I stayed in much nicer places). Manager and staff were nice and helpful. Quite a few problems thou: - they forgot the welcoming drink (you need to ask for it, if you want it) - no mini-bar prices in the room (not that expensive but still something good to know in advance) - hotel information was written black on red, which is not the best for reading - keeping it simple (black on white paper) would make life easier - no phone in the room - no note paper/pencil/pen in the room - no facial tissues in the room (only toilet rolls in the bathroom) - wi-fi is free, when it works - most of the time it doesn’t which is seriously frustrating. If you need the internet for work or other purpose, better to choose a different hotel… these days having…
Our family of 5 stayed here for 5 nights. The rooms are modern and clean. The pool area is beautiful, there are currently only 6 rooms so it's quiet and relaxing. The staff are friendly and have been very helpful. Pippali is a lovely place to stay.
We stayed here overnight after leaving another hotel early and in hindsight we should have booked this place from the start. Don’t be worried about the window into the bathroom, there’s a blind block the view (unless perhaps you’re really close with any guests you’re sharing with). It just fills the room with more natural light. The beds were a little on the firm side, but given that it’s a small hotel (about six rooms in total) that was able to accommodate twin beds, we didn’t mind. Since you’re on the Prek Kampong Kandal you’re only a five minute stroll from a great selection of bars and restaurants if you want to eat out. Staff are friendly here, the bar is always own throughout the day, and they do a good breakfast the next morning (you can choose Western or Eastern…
Stayed here for three nights and enjoyed our stay. It's a small hotel, only 6 rooms, and has a little restaurant. The rooms are very clean and the pool is lovely and quiet. The landscape is well kept and the pool is open until late night so you can enjoy a late night dip if you want to indulge. We had breakfast daily (included) which was fine. It includes juice, coffee, fruit, bread and your choice of eggs with potatoes, sausage, bacon. As stated, the menu says it includes bacon and we never once received bacon (the "sausage" is a small piece of hotdog). Aside from breakfast we ordered two appetizers, poolside, and enjoyed the fried spring rolls a lot; the chicken satay was just okay.
Located at the quiet end on the riverfront, this relatively new boutique resort is private, peaceful and set in leafy, maintained surroundings. The staff are very pleasant and accomodating, the food is tasty, well presented and very safe for western tummies (the chef is a cool dude). The rooms are clean and regularly attended to. The gorgeous pool is a godsend. Just a 10 minute walk along the river to the main restaurants, I highly recommend this hotel for those who like to unwind from the hustle and bustle of a busy day touring the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you Yan.
What a lovely hotel, it’s quite new so has all the amenities you would desire, plus the host (Yan) is very friendly and will do everything to help you. The pool is lovely, the food great and the rooms are a great size, each with a balcony Wish we stayed here longer
Centrally located with nice pool which was long enough to have a proper swim. Excellent breakfast and obliging manager who swapped things around to give us a late checkout. Chinese new year celebrations were underway in a street celebration when we were there. Noisy, but added character.
