Pippali Boutique Hotel is ideally located along the riverside and a short walk from Kampot city centre. Enjoy the view of the Teuk Chhou River and the Bokor Mountain while relaxing in our beautiful garden or at the swimming pool. The large 8 rooms are tastefully furnished with some pieces designed by the owner’s brother, an architect, giving a unique and personal touch to the place. All rooms have a terrace or a balcony with a view on the garden and the overflowing seawater swimming pool, the only one in town.

Detailed Reviews
Great little hotel in Kampot. Very nice clean pool (a bonus as not many hotels have pools in Kampot). Close to everything, 6-8 minute walk along the river to the restaurant area.
Rooms are well equipped and modern. Cleaning mostly ok but some areas lack quality attention. Wifi was good (some reviews say it’s bad but I had no issue at all when I stayed). Breakfast was a set choice and was good. Only issue is if you want a late or cappuccino you have to pay extra for it, I have NEVER seen this in any hotel in my travels. Vile tasting Khmer coffee is free.
It’s a bit noisy at night due to a Cambodian karaoke bar across the road, but that’s not the hotels fault, and it never bothered me inside my room.
Overall a nice place and with a little more attention to cleaning and minor maintenance this place would be near the top of places to stay in Kampot. I will definitely stay here again😀.

Good modern hotel in the middle of Kampot. Good central location, close to all the amenities. Small plot with reasonable sized pool and surrounding small garden areas. Staff were pleasant and helpful and tried their best to overcome the problems encountered. Rooms were a reasonable size, clean and comfortable. Food was good but menu was limited and the kitchen was shut one day because the chef was on his day off! Bar closed early each evening (Lack of demand - common in Kampot)
Downside - screaming kids in the pool early in the morning. But the big turn off was the tuneless/ heavy bass karaoke and dance music from surrounding bars. One morning this didn't finish until 3am.
Not much staff could do about this short term but they did allow us to move room to one further away from the noise - which did help a bit.

We spent 3 nights at Pippali at the end of 2019 and thought it was exactly as advertised. It was busy but fairly tranquil even though it is close to the road. The room was well appointed and nice and quiet. We enjoyed the shady pool area in the heat of the day and never had a problem getting a lounger. Breakfast was simple but tasty. This was our second time in Kampot and even though we loved where we stayed the first time, they didn't have a pool, and we definitely enjoyed being able to cool down.
Location is also handy, a quick 10 minute walk along the riverfront to all the action.
We really like the hotel and the staff were lovely. Thanks for a great stay!

Seriously the worst hotel I have stayed in ever. The pool water was green (the staff said they had too many customers to clean it) everyone had itchy skin and sore eyes. We had to ask the staff for a cloth to clean the filthy tables as the Khmer staff stood and played and chatted to each other. The aircondioner rattled and spat out water all night. The bed was the hardest I have slept in after 40 years traveling extensively in Asia it felt like sleeping on a board, there were not enough pillow slips as they send them to the cleaner in the morning and wait until they are cleaned and hopefully ready later that day or the next day. Breakfast was cold and covered in flies. The wiring in the bedroom was exposed and dodgy. The bathrooms were small and cramped and mouldy. Happy hour took 45 minutes to get the first drink and 30 minutes to get the second and no one else was there for happy hour. The beer, cocktails and food is very expensive compared to better classes hotels and restaurants. Seriously think twice before staying at this hotel

We stayed 4 nights (16/1 to 20/1) at this beautiful hotel in January 2020. My partner and I would like to say "Thank You" to the staff who looked after us whilst we were there. They helped us to make our holiday memorable and at ease by arranging drivers to Keb and to our hotel in Phnom Penh. In particular the gentleman at the front desk, a special "Thank You" for being so generous with your time. It was so nice to have you come out to the car to say good-bye.
I highly recommend this hotel and staff for a magnificent stay. We had such a lovely time swimming in the pool to cool off and the wonderful cocktails by the poolside. Their breakfast was great with the fruits coming straight from the owners farm! We also had dinners at the hotel when we were too tired to go out. On both of these occasions the meals were just lovely. We would definitely be back at your hotel when we return to Kampot.

Don't trut the photos, the hotel is just at the corner of two buzy streets with only few trees.
If you want to sleep, go somewhere else, the hotel is just 20m away from the best night club in Kampot with very loud music. untill very late.
For the breakfast, no buffet: 5 dishes available only on the menu including Asian ones.
For the wifi: almost one day off !
I've booked for two nights, and I left for the second night to another hotel for the first tiime in my life. no refund for the second night but I finally could sleep.and get good wifi which is important to me.

A very decent property next to the river and about 10 minutes walk from the main town.
The room we checked in had a musty smell, which they changed as soon as we pointed out that. Room and bathroom are spacious and very clean.
There is free Wifi and the room is provided with a small TV, locker, mini refrigerator, slippers, bathrobe, hairdryer and electric kettle. Bath room had a nice shower with free toiletries.
Hotel has a nice pool surrounded by lot of greenery and is a perfect place to relax. All rooms have a pool view. The restaurant and bar are adjacent to the pool. Breakfast was good with ample choice and really good value.
There is lot greenery around this property. Feel so relaxed waking up with greens by the balcony. There is a sea food restaurant just outside the hotel and plenty of pubs as you walk by the side of the hotel. Main town is about 900 mts away, where you can find plenty of restaurants and pubs.
The staff are always smiling, helpful and respond immediately to any requests.

Hotel is a good location, staff attentive and food is good. The bathroom to our room definitely needed some care and attention as could be described as shabby. Noisy restaurant/club next door at night and when sitting on your sun lounger, be prepared to hear live chickens being prepared for dinner at the restaurant! Just be aware that the public are allowed to use the pool for a guaranteed spend of $5.

Luxury at a bargain price with a wonderful staff to match. The room is very clean, AC good, nice linens, great pool and good food. at A true bargain below (far) $100 a night. The location is perfect just at the edge of the busier part of town and across the street from the river promenade. I wanted a scooter and it was there for small money in moments. A Kayak? - they have them for free. Negotiate a tuck tuck. No problem. Learn my breakfast preference? - done. There is a very good and very loud restaurant next door and a noisy gym behind the hotel but I was not bothered with the doors closed. This is not luxury but you get a great experience at a bargain price

Lovely little place that felt like an oasis. Near the river and not too far to walk anywhere we really enjoyed our one night stay. The manager Camille was super helpful with information, and all the staff were so lovely. We ate dinner in because they had Bouillabaisse- absolutely delish and breakfast the following morning also was well done. The room was lovely and comfortable- we had a ground floor right in front of the pool. The beds and pillows were also very comfortable

There is construction but the karaoke bar at night and the thin poorly fitted doors and windows and the curtains have no backing so there is no noise blockers
