I was here four nights, and honestly could've stayed much longer. The guesthouse has a warm, inviting feel from the moment you arrive. I'm pretty sure Ben is the nicest owner I've ever met, and his staff is great as well. Spacious, comfortable, clean rooms, tons of movies to watch or books to lend, free coffee and tea all day,...

My recent 4-night stay at Mea Culpa was a fabulous experience and I really cannot recommend the place highly enough. This small, peaceful and inviting guesthouse is truly a ‘home from home’ with super-friendly, warm and welcoming staff. Ben, the highly affable owner and manager, works tirelessly to ensure that each and every guest has a comfortable, enjoyable and memorable...

Mea Culpa is one of our favourite stays during our six months of travelling. The location is perfect- close enough to town to walk, and far enough away to be quiet and peaceful at night. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. Outside was a huge area with books, and seats, and free tea and coffee. There were lots of...

Just stayed here one night, and would recommend for one night or more...Spacious and clean room, and loved having use of the free bikes. Ate yummy pizza here for dinner also. Just the right distance from the centre!

No breakfast available, but u can go to Ellie's 550m in distance. The reception is with the bar. Recommended place to be

We've stayed here twice now & the rooms, facilities, service, beds, showers, friendliness & information/help on travel & tours are all excellent. Ben, the owner is fantastic as are all of his friendly staff. Ben's attention to detail is great - even down to free, fresh filter coffee available all day and two hard, two soft pillows so you can...

Depends how much you're used to walking, I guess. At home, we walk everywhere in our neighborhood -- to the grocery, bookstores, restaurants. Thus, we felt right at home walking routinely five to ten minutes into town along the river, a path which was almost in the shade and very beautiful. Since tourism is booming in this sleepy town, it's...

Cannot recommend this place more highly. The room was immaculate and the service Ben and his staff provided were second to none. Loved our stay here! The food was delicious. We particularly enjoyed the wood fire pizza. We will definitely be back!
