Discover Africa, just as it should be. Oliver's Camp - in the remote southern reaches of Tarangire National Park - has just 10 beautifully appointed safari tents in a spectacular location close to the game-dense Silale Swamps and overlooking a flood plain of the Minyonyo Pools. Oliver's was inspired by the trailblazing camps that pioneered the early days of safari. It gives you direct access to the dense concentration of wildlife you will find year-round in this remote region, as well as the chance to enjoy walking safaris and fly camping. Oliver's is intimate and personal, staffed by a world-class team that has worked together for many years to perfect a safari experience that guests consistently rank among their best.

This was our first stop on our safari in Tanzania. The property was amazing, our room was comfortable, and the staff was outstanding. We have traveled quite a bit around the world, and I cannot recall better guest care at any establishment, anywhere. The staff, lead by Rose, was attentive, kind, accommodating, and genuinely interested in our well-being. There was a bartender named Erick, who made fantastic drinks (I loved his margarita). And, of course, Mary, who personally took care of us, who was just so wonderful, pleasant, and extremely conscientious. The chef was also great and made wonderful meals. It is also worth mentioning an afternoon that we spent at the pool, which was beautiful and had an amazing view of the bush. We were even greeted by a large elephant adjacent to the pool area. Oh, and I also want to mention the various gorgeous settings around the property where we dined. Just great.
Of course, the real star of the show was the Tarangire Park and our OUTSTANDING guide, Elissa. We saw everything and learned a ton, thanks to Elissa. I cannot say enough about the experience!

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to share such lovely feedback, we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. The kind commendation of Rose, Erick, Mary, Elissa and the rest of the team, are very much appreciated. Our amazing staff share in the delight of creating a memorable safari for our guests, adding special touches throughout their stay for guests to enjoy the accommodation as much as the wildlife and stunning views of surrounding nature. It was an absolute pleasure hosting you, we look forward to welcoming you again on your next visit to East Africa. Warmest regards from Tanzania, The Oliver’s Camp Team

Words cannot express how incredible our experience at Olivers was. We could write an essay on each and every amazing thing.
The staff were absolutely phenomenal. From their service, to their humour, their friendliness and warmth, their constant desire to making sure you were having the absolute best time and had every single thing you wanted or needed there was nothing more they could have done to make our experience an incredible one. Most of all their positivity, excitement and constant happiness was infectious!
The camps location felt was perfect, a great blend of remote and private in the beautiful tarangire national park and had an incredible view from the rooms, the sundeck and the main lodge. Our safaris never failed to impress and our guides never ending knowledge of all the animals and the park itself taught us so much and made driving, walking and night safaris all the more rewarding and enjoyable.
The rooms were gorgeous, impeccably well kept and felt luxurious and large, we loved the outdoor shower (there is one inside the room too) and private terrace to have a quiet drink between safaris and just enjoy looking out into the wilderness.
Most of all it was the little touches at Olivers that absolutely made our stay. The staff at the camp went to huge efforts to help set up our engagement as a surprise at the end of an evening safari out in the national park for sunset. Their joy at our joy made us feel so special and they created little surprises and touches throughout the entire rest of our stay to help us celebrate, from little bouquets left in our room, to a cake made for us over a celebratory dinner. We really cannot thank the wonderful staff at Olivers camp enough.
And finally, we travelled in the height of the pandemic yet felt completely secure at Olivers. Asilia has clearly put a lot of time and effort into putting protocols in place and training their staff to ensure the safety of every guest, and all their staff as well. They kept us informed of the measures they had put in place and it felt like all the new measures were already business as usual. The Asilia family is very clearly that, a family, where they all care about each other as well as their guests.
We LOVED Olivers camp, and it will always hold a very special place in our hearts. A huge thank you to the team at Oliver's, you guys rock!

Truly one of the unique hotel experiences of my life. Oliver's camp is set in a remote part of Tangarire National Park so you are truly in solitude. The tents are as luxurious as they could possibly be for such a location (anyone expecting the Four Seasons shouldn't be staying at a tent camp in a national park in Africa) and the staff went above and beyond in every aspect, led by the amazing Saleh and Jackson. The outdoor shower option (you also have one indoors) was a nice touch too. Only note of warning - most things (laundry, booze, food etc.) are included but a few things are not, so make sure to clarify before signing up for things. Overall, though, I cannot recommend this place enough.

Oliver's Camp was our first camp on a two week Northern Tanzania safari, and it sure set the bar high.
From the moment we arrived, the resort showed good hygiene practices with masks and temperature checks on arrival and abundant hand sanitizer throughout the property. Meals were socially distanced. We felt completely safe throughout our stay and were assured by the extra precautions being taken.
The lodge itself is beautiful (don't miss the sundowner deck!), and Tarangire is a beautiful park that would have been a shame to miss. The real standout here was the service. While we have had amazing service throughout our stay in Tanzania, the staff here, from awesome resort manager Daniel to the rest of his team, were exemplary. The staff spoke so highly and passionately about Asilia as a company and employer that we are already trying to book more lodges before we leave the country.
Thank you Oliver's Camp for an incredible first impression. Hope we can visit another of your camps next week!

We went on a 9 days safari in 3 different Asilia properties (Oliver’s camp, Dunia Camp and The Highlands) during the pandemic and we felt extremely safe and pampered in all of them .
We started at Oliver’s Camp in Tarangire National Park . The camp is in a remote location deep in the heart of Tarangire, you really feel that you are out in the wilderness and the landscape around is beautiful.
The raised tents are big and comfy with an old fashioned safari feel with all the modern amenities. The view from the breakfast and sundowner deck is breathtaking. The food is delicious and plentiful, we also had a picnic lunch one day when we ventured far from camp and came back late in the afternoon. The staff headed by Dickson is friendly and attentive.
And then there is Amos , our fabulous guide! Amos can spot even the smallest or farthest animal around ( he spotted a chameleon on a branch during a night drive, amazing!) Even if we went at the end of the rainy season with tall grasses ( it never rained) he helped us see plentiful of elephants and lions, and buffalos, and giraffes….
His enthusiasm for birdwatching is infectious, we never thought we would come back with so many birds photos…
Not only is Amos a great guide but he is fun , friendly and always cheerful, we had a lovely time with him and we became fast friends!

Out of 7 week safari this was the best tented camp by a longshot. It is a first class operation from top to bottom. It is hard to say enough nice things about this camp.
The tents themselves are well spaced out and situated. It really makes you feel like you have the entire camp to yourself because you don’t hear anyone else – all you hear are the animals and nature. The camp is situated on a bluff overlooking a valley with a creek/river. You can always see animals in the distance and right outside your tent. I had waterbuck, zebra, dik dik, mongoose, vervot monkey and an elephant right outside my tent at various times. They keep a small bird bath outside the tent and filing that up brought in the birds and small animals.
The inside of the tent is outstanding. Spacious. Well appointed. Very comfortable bed and linens. A nice work station/desk. There is a double vanity sink, inside shower and an outside shower. Each tent has an outdoor sitting area that is covered and well appointed.
The common areas were the best of any camp/lodge I stayed. There is a small pool that is well maintained with a bar. There is a separate sundowner/breakfast area that overlooks the river valley below the camp. It’s a great location for both sunrise and sunset. Outside the main lodge building is a fire pit where drinks are served before dinner. The main lodge building is two stories where meals can be served and its also just a nice place to sit and relax.
The meals were outstanding and plentiful. Everything is a fixed menu but they would always make sure you liked what they were serving and were very accommodating with the menu. Overall, it was some of the best food I had on safari.
The entire staff is outstanding. You really could not ask for a better overall safari experience. Kudos to the camp’s manager – Brian, the mountain cheetah!

Oliver’s was the first of three Asilia properties on our itinerary, and we were delighted with our first stop. Our spacious tent was comfortable, and the outdoor deck and shower a lovely treat. We appreciated the toiletries provided, as well as the flipflops to keep our feet protected when inside.
Meals were delicious, food plentiful, and sundowners, as we looked over the grasslands at the end of the afternoon, most welcome. Sitting around the fire, catching up with others as we shared the day’s stories, and chatting with staff was lovely.
However, it is the staff that makes Oliver’s excellent. Everyone was friendly, polite, attentive and dedicated to excellence. Top marks all round.
Well done, Oliver’s team. Tutaonana baadaye.

This was our first time to stay in a tented camp as we have stayed at many of the finest lodges in South and East Africa. We were prepared not to like it as it lacked many of the amenities to which we had become accustomed, however, we quickly came to truly enjoy Oliver's Camp. The staff made this a memorable stay for us. They are very pleasant and always there if you might need anything. They set up surprise meals and even set up drinks at sunset near a large family of elephants. They also set up dinner at a different location each evening and it's always very romantic. The food is very good and the chef is a very quiet modest man but a great chef. We would highly reccomend Oliver's Camp.

We stayed our first two nights of an 11 day safari at Olivers. It is a phenomenal camp with great staff and luxurious tents, guaranteeing proximity to wildlife. We saw fifteen lions from two different prides, and scores of elephant wildebeest buffalo and zebra, and three giraffes as well as an owl and hyena. The camp offers private safaris, which allow you to really customize your experience. The vehicles are open air which makes for ideal viewing condition but if you come in July, bring a hat, gloves, scarf and warm layers or jacket because temperatures are potentially cold. Drinks are plentiful and the food is yummy. Each group gets private accommodation for meals (no communal tables) and you eat in a. Different spot of the camp each meal. Very romantic potentially, but families are more than welcome.

Oliver's Camp is a true gem in one of the best parks in Tanzania. This camp is truly luxurious but also feels rustic and homelike at the same time. The camp is so well laid out that you have privacy and space but all areas are only a few seconds walk away. The staff are so very gracious and professional and are always available but somehow hidden from sight until you need them allowing you to relax and explore without pressure. The food is fantastic and plentiful and they happily cater to special food needs. The "sundowner" deck is spectacular and the views are breathtaking as are the animal sightings which are just moments from your tent, sometimes even from your tent! The tents are well appointed, immaculately clean and have plenty of hot water, a sturdy desk, amazing robes and warm blankets for cool nights. The staff are managed by Daniel and Dickson who welcome you like family and somehow incorporate little things you have said during your stay into amazing experiences specialized to you. And then, there is the beautiful Tarengire park which is one of the best places to see animals in all of Africa. Our guide Lenganasa taught us more in 3 days of Safari than I learned in years of study. Every employees true love and passion for the land they live and work on and the animals that surround them is obvious in every conversation and the camps dedication to low impact living. Coming back in the evening to the beautiful and large campfire to share stories of animals, and plants and family with the staff and other guests will be memories you keep forever. I recommend without hesitation Oliver's camp for your adventure and comfort in Tanzania!

Yes we have charging stations in the tents
It’s in the park in a great location. Can’t recommend it enough. When we drove out of the camp we saw a cheetah within a mile. And elephants everywhere. Staff at Oliver’s is incredible as are the tents, food and views! Do it!
