The Grandover Resort & Spa, a Wyndham Grand Hotel, earns high marks for its comfortable, spacious, and pristine rooms, although an isolated comment mentions an unusual odor. While opinions on value vary, with some guests finding the prices steep, the wealth of amenities, including a golf course, spa, and pools, generally impresses visitors. The hotel's vibrant atmosphere, enriched by live music and tasteful decor, along with the commendable service from attentive staff, contributes to the overall positive experience. The convenient location, boasting multiple dining options, is another highlight for travelers.

Where do I begin? From the time we entered until the time we left, we received five star service from every person we encountered. I have to name names because all of these folks were so welcoming and personable and I just want them to know that we acknowledge and appreciate their exceptional service, professionalism, assistance, and great personalities! Hats off to: Sabrina, who set everything up for us; the front desk staff including Maureen; the bellmen including Zac; the entire housekeeping staff; John, who took care of the pool area; Bryson, Shequel, Greg, and Poli from DiValetta Restaurant; Isaiah and Ori from Cafe Espresso; Kenesha and Jaray from 1808 Bar; the pros at the Golf Shop; Jamye, Alana, Steven at the Spa, and Judy my wonderful massage therapist. These folks are top notch!! They understand what it takes to provide exceptional service at a truly exceptional resort and they did not disappoint. The view from room 820 was the best as I was able to see him start his golf game. EVERYTHING was amazing and magical!! This will definitely not be our last time coming. Want to be pampered? This is the place!!!

I love staying at The Grandover, when I am in High Point for furniture buying and/or attending High Point University events. It makes my business travel seem like a mini vacation or retreat. The resort is peaceful, safe, elegant, spacious, and clean. The staff throughout the hotel are professional and friendly. The hotel has beautiful and clean shuttle vans and cars that can transport you to and from the airport or other venues. The main restaurant is elegant and serves delicious food on clean, crisp white table linens, even at breakfast. The bar/lounge is a great place to finish out the day, relaxing by one of its two huge fireplaces, sipping an after-dinner drink, nibbling on a tasty dessert, and listening to live music, at least, on Friday and Saturday nights. I always stay at the Grandover and highly recommend it.

I stayed here for 3 days on business. The room was clean, quiet, roomy and comfortable. Because I was so busy with business activities I was unable to experience the spa or golf amenities and unable to review those. I appreciated the dinner and meeting facilities and the shuttle service to and from the airport. Every employee we encountered from shuttle personnel to restaurant to front desk was extremely competent, professional and polite. I will definitely stay here again! If I were to recommend any change it would be a simple one...... provide complimentary coffee and lemon water at the lobby for guests checking in. I experience those small gestures at many lower price hotels ( Hampton inn and Hilton ) and it makes a world of difference to a tired traveler. When I asked where I could find coffee the lobby greeter told me that it’s only in the restaurants on resort grounds. Basically a big inconvenience if you ask me especially for the price you pay for these rooms you could at least offer that.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your stay and really sorry to hear that we did not give you good direction on the coffee. We have coffee right there in the lobby available for our guests at the entrance to our DiValletta restaurant and also in the Café. We should have walked you over there and I am really sorry that we didn't. You will have happy to know that we are adding a Coffee Bar in our lobby in the next few months and it will be impossible to miss. Water: We have a permanent infused water station on our concierge desk 24 hers a day, really sorry we didn't point that out to you. Please come back again and see us and we will make sure that we show these nice amenities for our guests. Most Sincerely,

I had a client who came to the grandover for their anniversary. The wife woke up to look out the window and noticed something on the side of the bed. Upon investigating it, it was vomit! They went downstairs to complain only to be told the mattress pads aren't changed after each guest. We are in a pandemic! The only thing that separates you and the other humans DNA are your sheets. The housekeeping manager offered to change the bedding and put them in a different room...a different room with the same issue as the other. The day of their anniversary they had a reservation at 7:30. An hour later their food still wasn't ready. I'm happy they were compensated at 100% but I would warn you to ask about their cleaning techniques, how long before guests enter a room after check out and if your mattress pad has been changed out.

This is completely incorrect information and we are sorry if there was incorrect information given. Grandover added and extra layer of protection to the matrass which is matrass cover which protect the guest and the bed that is under the matrass pad which a supervisor decides weather it is in need of changing. To add the the cleaning procedure we spay sanitize the cover before replacing the matrass cover on top. There is a rigorous procedure for cleaning each guestrooms which we follow to a tee and have and zero complaints from any guest on how we are preforming. We are sincerely apologetic for anything that got past us but please be assured this this was an anomaly.

My wife and I stayed at the Grandover Resort & Spa recently when we enjoyed a long weekend there to attend a special event. We could not have been more pleased with our entire stay! The location just outside of Greensboro was perfect, and the expanse of the property afforded us the ability to spread out and to never feel cramped or crowded. There's plenty of self-parking with easy access to the front entrance and the golf course area, and there's ample outdoor walking areas and exercise areas. There's also plenty of outdoor seating around the property when the weather's nice or at night by the fire pit. Our floor and our room was quiet, and the rooms were cleaned impeccably. We had a view of the parking lot, tennis courts, and the interstate, so in retrospect I would seek a room overlooking the golf course the next time. In any event, our room was great! The beds were beyond comfortable and made for great sleep. We were there during a college football Saturday and didn't miss a play of our alma mater's game on our room's large HD TV that had a wide variety of channels, including the Big 10 Network! We enjoyed each of the property's various restaurants, the cafe, and bars, where the food and beverage selections were diverse and plentiful. There were several large group events, including various receptions and dinners, and the food was excellent. It's not always easy to satisfy large groups with food quality, food preparation, or taste, but the resort's kitchen and banquet staff did not disappoint. We utilized the fitness center several times and got great workouts...it's roomy enough to spread out, yet it's also well-equipped. The special event weekend included several "live" shows out on the lawn by the preeminent band Big Head Todd & The Monsters. The intimate nighttime lawn setting at the resort for the first 2 shows was just perfect, and the Saturday night show at the Piedmont Hall in town was just a few minutes drive from the resort, and the energy was palpable. What really stood out, however, was the staff. Everyone from management to the housekeeping to the fitness center/pool and to the banquet staff was so friendly and accommodating, and they really made us feel welcome and comfortable throughout our entire stay. We enthusiastically recommend the Grandover Resort & Spa!

I've stayed at this "resort" for 3 straight New Year's Eve nights. They have a special package for the night that includes a gift card for the resort, champagne, and night's stay. If you do not have reservations made well in advance, you cannot even eat at the hotel restaurant where you are staying. They don't tell you that when you book the package. Fortunately, we got our reservations early. At the restaurant I was over-charged, service was chaotic and amateurish. Ice machines on many floors did not work. The bar charges exorbitant prices. They cut off all alcohol purchases and celebrations at midnight on New Year's Eve. Who does that? Most bars stay open until 2 am and to have a New Year's Eve package, you'd think they'd stay open past midnight. Parking near the hotel entrance was limited to valet parking, real estate parking, and fire lanes. No parking for check in at all. Unfriendly and inadequate staff at breakfast. In general, I feel like this resort does the bare minimum to please its customers. The rooms were clean, mattresses were comfortable and the elevators were fast. Not enough to make up for a generally unpleasant experience.

Robert, We are all certainly disappointed to hear about your experience with us. We do save restaurant seating times for our package guests but the gift card can be used anywhere in the Resort so it is not assumed that you plan to eat with us. If you were not told, that we are extremely sorry, most all guest were. Your experience in the was an anomaly because we had nothing but glowing reviews across the board, I am sorry yours was not. Based on past experience with NYE we choose to have last call at 12:30am knowing full well it would be 1am before all were served. Yes, the ice machines can run out on NYE because of everyone filling coolers, they simply can't keep up. We always bring Ice complimentary to guest rooms when this happens. Parking, we offer complimentary valet service everyday of the week to assist with guest that need it, we are sorry you didn't take advantage of this. All of this to say, we are sorry we did not meet your expectations but do hope you will come back again in he future and give us another try. Most Sincerely,

The email said ....Ring in 2020 with us! There's no place better to be than at Grandover Resort for New Years Eve! Share it with my husband instead of hosting an event at home and he said let's do it. The email also said...New Years Eve Party : join us in 1808 Bar with live entertainment and host Evan Olson! Food, drinks, and a champagne toast at midnight. The event is free, but reserve your spot here. I made the reservation for the New Years Eve Package and even reserve spot for the party and got a ticket. It appears having a ticket reserved no spot. The front desk staff didn't know anything about a ticket and then a management person told me that the ticket was just to give them a head count; however, people were arriving who had not even reserve a spot at all. She showed us seating near the front door. Could barely hear the music or see the performer. Smoke came in from the entrance doors and make us sick so left to go to our rooms. Found out upon arrival by the Bellman the Restaurat had no availability unless you had a reservation ahead of time and we were starving.

Bree, Thank you for being with us on NYE and we are sorry for the confusion that the was caused on Ticket Me Triad. Yes, we were just trying to get a feel for how many people were coming because it was a free and open to the public event and we are sorry that our wording was not clear. We are appreciative that you came and are sorry that our poor communication and the smokers who stood outside spoiled your time with us. Most Sincerely,

Great resort within a 15 min. drive to HPU! to visit our daughter! Can't say enough good things about the Grandover... Clean, quiet and comfortable with a very friendly and accommodating staff. Rooms are large and they accept small dogs on one floor for an up charge. The restaurant food is great and the lobby bar area and huge fireplaces was a nice end of each day. We will be back again soon.

We got married at Grandover on July 1, 2023. After having tried to plan a wedding at a South Carolina venue and a resort in Puerto Rico, we settled on Grandover after meeting with Rebekah and touring the facility. It was absolutely perfect for what we needed. Our families and friends golf and we wanted a facility where everyone could sleep, golf, and attend the wedding without having to worry about drinking and driving or finding shuttle services. We looked all over the southeast and couldn't find such a facility until we settled on Grandover. We had 106 guests and 36 golfers on Saturday morning. Our group was so impressed by Grandover. They all commented on how accommodating the staff was, how delicious the food was, and how beautiful the entire venue was - the lawn we were married on, the golf course itself, the pool, the décor, the rooms, etc. We wanted to keep our budget in check and ended up paying the national average for a wedding with everything included (like photographer and DJ, which Grandover don't provide). With that price tag, Grandover handles most everything. They set up the venue, they provide A/V for the ceremony, they provide the food, etc. It allows you to do much less work to plan your wedding. Rebekah is fantastic. I talked to a lot of venue managers before picking Grandover and none of them compared to Rebekah. She was always prompt with communication, so you never felt alone in the planning process. I sent a million emails with questions and never felt like a bother to her. On the day of the event, it stormed right at our ceremony time. Rebekah worked with me to delay the ceremony and had the staff dry off the chairs in a matter of minutes to get our guests outside for the ceremony. This is just one example of how she worked with us and made our experience perfect. The Pro Shop had carts ready to go with our players names on them and bags already loaded on the carts. It was top-knotch service. I could go on and on about how accommodating and wonderful the Grandover was for our wedding. If you're hesitating to book your wedding here, don't. At least go take a visit to Grandover and stay a night. Eat the food at the restaurants and it'll give you an idea of how great the food and service will be at your wedding.

I recently had the privilege of directing a wedding at Grandover and it was a pleasure. The banquet staff were outstanding, the food was excellent, the facilities amazing. Many brides assume a full service venue is out of their price range, but when you add up all the costs for vendors at a barn or hall the price tag will usually exceed the cost of a place like Grandover... with lower quality service. I can not recommend this venue enough.
