We had a great 2 nights here. We had no problems navigating the road/drive in our Toyota Rav (which we had hired for our trip mainly for our visit here, having read the info provided on the road!). Spectacular views and the feeling of calm when we arrived made it all worthwhile. Great hour ride with Christy in the afternoon,... More

Second time I have stayed at the lodge in 12 months. Its a lovely spot which is quiet and peaceful. The onsite cooking is amazing, we have never been so well fed ! The service is excellent, the team really look after you and make sure you have everything for your stay. Highly recommend !

Located up a bumpy 5km bridle track, this is a wonderfully peaceful place to stay. We stayed for 3 nights and loved the quiet location. We booked the guided tour of Isandlwana and Rorkes Drift battlefields and this was expertly delivered by Paul. The food and level of service from our unit attendant was superb.

If you are looking for the taste of Africa with clean accommodation this is the place. Right out in the wilds but all the mod cons. A really welcome change was no wi-fi so you have to get involved instead of watching it online! The views from the rooms are breath-taking. There are walks around the property marked out to... More

Trip up to the lodge is off road from Rorkes Drift and you can make it in a normal car (dry season experience only) if you stay below 20km/h and drive carefully, its further than you think so take it easy. However once you get to the lodge and see the views its worth it. We had 2 units, one... More

We spent 2 nights in this lovely guest house which is well off the beaten track. I am sure this would not suit everyone but the road in is no big deal as long as you take your time and it is well worth every second. We stayed in the round room with the spiral stairs which we found very... More

We visited here for one night, but wished it had been for longer. Lodges are beautiful with amazing views. Friendly and very helpful staff. Road to lodge is very rough but added to the adventure. Very remote though but all units have plenty of self catering facilities. Breakfast was lovely, great atmosphere we can't wait to return.

Thank you for taking the time to review our Lodge. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay. One of the highlights of our property is the remoteness and the peace and tranquility that comes from that particular aspect. It is one of the chief reasons that we have kept our road the way it is - it keeps... More

We turned off the main road and found ourselves facing a 5 Km track which was exceptionally rough. We weren't sure our Renault Captur had a high enough clearance to get through. However, once in, we were committed and were glad we came in daylight because in the pitch dark, it would be hell. We should have been forewarned and... More

This place was a great and charming way to spend a couple of nights and to have a guide of the battlefields. The drive up to the lodge is a lot of fun, but slow and hard going - be warned if you have a small or low car, an SUV / 4x4 is recommended. The lodge is nicely spread... More
