This was my favourite place to stay on the tour. Accommodation is in luxury tents with outdoor bathrooms. The scenery is stunning. Service is meticulous and management very helpful. The food was also delicious. There is a small pool, lots of birdlife and opportunities to do activities: guided walk, elephant safari, visit the Himba people. Truly wonderful. Thank-you.

Spent 3 nights here and we absolutely loved this lodge - was one of the big highlights of our trip. Rustic but very comfortable permanent tents built on the bank overlooking a flowing river, quirky outdoor bathrooms - the view from the shower was stunning - was also the best shower we had on our trip too (hot water and... Very nice campsite, with good facilities even hot water. Friendly and helpful people. We did an interesting excursion to a Himba village, with a local and good guide, who gave us a good introduction to the Himba people. We had a very good diner, excellent service under the starts... Very good experience !

A stunning hide away on the borderof Kaokoland. Good place as a basis to explore the desert elephants or the nearby living Himba people. Nice restaurant with good food for little money. Camp sites are spacious with good ablusion facilities. Friendly people, so no reason not to go here!

We stayed here with our two grown-up kids during two nights. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice rooms (sort of bungalow-tents). Very good food in the restaurant. we did two activities : the visit to a Himba village , which was very nice but a bit artificial (you know that they have visitors almost everyday but you feel a bit... This is a lodge composed of 14 tented chalets with a safari-like vibe. The tented rooms are huge; ours had a very comfortable king bed with plenty of room to walk around. The rear porch overlooks the Hoanib River a scant 20 meters or less away. The bathroom area is outside, open air, with a covering of dried branches. There... More

Comfortable room despite having to share bungalow with friends in same room- photos were misleading as we thought the bungalow had 2 rooms and shared a bathroom. Dinner was a set menu and not good at all. The sirloin steak was inedible, totally overcooked and impossible to cut as it was so tough. The vegetables were almost non existent. Very... More

i stayed for 2 nights in the tented rooms, where are very comfortable. i opened the doors to look over the creak, and enjoyed listening to the night life. the outside toilet and shower were a pleasant surprise. best jack sparrow cocktail ever.

The tented rooms are nice and remarkable cool if you remember open the shutters on the right side. The open air bathroom with trees was just great. We counted 10 trees in ours. We stayed two nights and enjoyed a full day's search for the famous desert elephants. Unfortunately they had moved out of the river area due to recent... More

We stayed initially at the lodge's own campsite (there is also a Community campsite just down the road), which meant we were able to enjoy the lodge's facilities as well - their swimming pool is small but heavenly, very welcome at 42°C! The campsite is well equipped though there is not much shade. Khowarib lodge + Campsite is stunningly located... More
