It was ok, a bit old-school but with friendly staff. The dinner was nice with generous portions of seafood. The rooms are built in the style of the local traditional huts but are functional. The hotel has beachfront access and you can walk for miles along the beach. Power went off twice for hours on end - was surprised there was no generator (management says it malfunctioned), and one of the pool stairs is a health hazard that almost broke my leg - apparently, not a new issue (has been reported before) but still hasn't been fixed.

Please stay away from this hotel, stayed in mid august and was very disappointed. Room was small, tv did not work , safe did not work and no wifi in room. Food was below average , beer expensive and had no order large meals for child as no child menu available. Pool dirty , very very few other guest and this is an isolated location , nearly 3 hours from Mombassa airport. Nothing to see around hotel . Also watch out for the kettle! As I was electrocuted on the first day ( twice) Some maters were seen to others not .

Very helpful and friendly staff, a gardener called Joseph offered us Madafu out of free will, very kind. Hot water in plenty, Food was good, Beautiful gardens and sea view from the pool. Bit of renovations should be done on taps and general hotel look. The baby high chair in the restaurant should be replaced its broken and generally old, baby cot was broken/insect destroyed on some parts. I would recommend this hotel in kilifi.

Baobab Sea Lodge is a charming and rustic destination. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. They could not have been more helpful. Secondly, its situation is unrivalled. The Lodge has gardens rolling down to a fantastic beach. In the evening you go to sleep listening to the sound of the ocean. Food was OK. However, now that COVID is subsiding and more tourists are coming, the hotel is in need of a facelift. Specifically, the gardens have not been tended to for a long time. The pool needs a proper cleaning and the bungalows and other rooms should be repainted on both the inside and outside. However, we had plenty of hot water and so no complaints on the bathroom side.

A very nice, stylish hotel, located in a large garden. Everything was clean, the beach was beautiful, endless and without people. The staff was very friendly, always smiling and the food was excellent - fish, seafood, lamb, beef, chicken - everything delicious. Our special thanks to the chef Abraham Wanyera, he does his job with passion, always professional towards the clients. We felt like being in the most luxurious restaurant thanks to the quality of food and the atmosphere, especially at dinner times. Wonderful holiday - we definitely want to come back.

I have nothing but good things to say about the Lodge. We arrived late and found the staff very accommodating. The customer service was excellent from the manager to the cleaning staff. We are glad that we stayed here for our first visit to Kilifi and we will definitely be back in the future.

This is a wonderful hotel with friendly and helpful staff, I was attending a conference here and the atmosphere is nice for learning being that the property is all green and peaceful, I loved the feel of that. I didn't sample the rooms so I would not talk about them. What I enjoyed was the conference hall, it was large and fitted with air conditioners that were regulating the hot temperatures perfectly. The food was perfect. This is the best for learning as I said before and would definitely recommend. *****stars.

Wonderful place to stop and relax. Time does not mean anything here. Here is everything okay, locals always try to help you and each to other. The small boutique hotel resort is well situated on the Indian Ocean with very friendly stuff.Simon was always interested in our comfort 👍🏻. Simple and clean rooms equipped with air-condition, safe, Tv, fridge with daily fresh bottled water. Delicious food: lamb, beef, seafood, calamari, squid, shrimps, grilled vegetables, fruits. We definitely recommend a safari trip to Tsavo national park where you can see elephants, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, lions, hippos, beautiful nature scenes…unforgettable memories. If you are thinking about the first trip to Africa, please be aware this is not Dubai or All inclusive Egypt. Here are other values than the consumer lifestyle. Recently we have visited Baobab sea lodge with my dad and we were nicely surprised. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Quality and cleanliness of rooms was good. The hotel is perfect if you looking for nice and calm holiday. Not many people in there. Staff is really caring. I am pretty sure you cannot find that anywhere else plus the food was absolutely brilliant!!! We were more than satisfied and we are planning to come back next year!
