I don't usually bother to write reviews but the Mnarani was excellent - just what we wanted. It was not five star luxury, but then we did not want that and in a country where so many people are so poor, we would have been offended by it, It was quiet - no blaring radios, music ot TV, It was... I don't generally like resort hotels. They tend to be too large, too impersonal, with dodgy food and (horror of horrors) weak coffee. Not so Mnarani Club, which I chose for a weekend break from Nairobi for my wife and two-year-old daughter, after much searching on this site. Good choice. Decent food (do try the pizza). Strong coffee. Beautiful infinity... More

Spent a couple of nights here during a recent visit to Kilifi, room, service, food and staff all first class. Free use of some watersports facilities also was a bonus especially as this was extended to some friends with children who visited me whilst I was there. All in all an extremely relaxing and enjoyable stay which I will repeat... More

We travelled to Minarani Hotel with Neilson. As other reviewers have said - the hotel is clean and the food was good with plenty of choice. The service was a bit slow in the main bar area - management and staff could learn from the operation of the beach bar area where staff quickly learnt names and preferences and made... More

Shame about the aircon and fan which were both too noisy to run at night, which made it too hot to sleep properly! Everything else was terrific. Neilson kit was superb.

I stayed here for 3 weeks mixture of work and holiday. It is the best place I have stayed on the Kenyan coast. The pool is second to none, and the buffet food is good. There is a bar snack menu, but it needs revamping (who wants chips when it's 34 in the shade?). The rooms are comfortable, although the... More

We spent 2 weeks at the hotel which we booked through Neilson. It's a really beautiful place, spacious but personal. The facilities are well maintained, the food is good and the staff are super friendly. The Neilson team were excellent, as always. This was our third Neilson holiday and won't be the last. We dived with Buccaneer Dive Centre, who... More

What a wonderful hotel. We had a garden room ,which suited us as we prefer fan to air con and the garden rooms have both. Also lots of monkey entertainment in the garden. The food was excellent and varied. The infinity pool is stunning. What a place to relax. The beach is lovely and is amazingly free from sellers. The... More

We had an absolutely wonderful holiday from start to finish - despite the dreadful snow in the UK causing a 17 hour delay to our Outbound flight and an overnight stay in a four star hotel in Croydon courtesy of Monarch Airlines! We booked our holiday through Neilson Holidays and the Neilson team were first class from greeting us on... More
