Isolated from all other Grand Bassam hotels, Maison de la Lagune offers relaxing time away from dirty Abidjan. You can either come for a day for the beach, pool and the restaurant or stay for a night. Price for a room is much cheaper comparing to the other Grand Bassam and especially to Assinie hotels. All room=houses are decorated in... More

Moment there a few times and it was ok- not great but ok. Today was my last time there- next time I am going elsewhere in the area: 1. The waiters are not allowed to take food orders- you have to go at the restaurant yourself to order your food- that's your first clue as to whether the service is... More

If you want to have good food, sip good wine and relax with a pool and sea view then you do not need to look further. This place is also a mini adventure to reach with sandy roads and interesting cultural activities you can see along the way. The Langouste was the best I have ever tried here in Abidjan,... More

When the owner is present, it is a good safe place. On my last visit, the owner was absent, and so was the security. I called for security several times as there were audible disturbances in the area which is quite remote. with a reputation of being burglarized, On site security was critical to our comfort. There simply was none... More

Three of us enjoyed a wonderful week at La Maison de la Lagune, a small resort on a spit of land with a calm lagoon on one side (where the bungalows sit) and the ocean on the other (the pool and restaurant side). Catherine, a charming former teacher from France who built this property 6 years ago, was quick to... More

Great place for a weekend. Very reasonable prices for what you are paying for. Food is good and sufficient variety for a few days in a row. Catherine the owner is lovely, even though she is French. Only takes an hour from Abidjan on the weekends so perfect for day trips. But book ahead!

Very quiet and nice Place. The Owner, Catherine is welcoming, and is paying a lot of attention to your comfort. She is also a great cook . I would particularly recommend the beef skewer and the lobster. Very relaxing and a amazing moment. Highly recommended.

La Maison de la Lagune is one of the best beach resorts in the area. I stayed here in April 2013 overnight, as well as several day visits to use the pool, beach, and have lunch. The restaurant is THE best in the area, and the service for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as the quality and taste of... More

Me and my husbands stayed at le maison de la lagune over the christmas break. The place, although they charge you european prices, it does not have any european standard: no buffet breakfast, expensive food compared to the life in ivory coast and the staff does not speak english. The worst surprise was when we were about to check out... More
