We stayed here because our regular hotel was closed due to smoke damage. We were pleased with how clean and quiet Edgewater is, even though they had a couple of groups of student groups staying there. They're a block away from the middle of the strip with a mountain behind and a stream in front. They have covered parking and...

Glad we visited gatlinburg after the fires. Edgewater hotel did a great job cleaning after the smoke damage. We could still smell a little smoke in the hallways. Once we got in our room it smelled clean and no smoke smells at all. Great location very close to the strip. Everything is with in walking distance. The pool was closed...

Thank you for choosing the Edgewater for your girls trip. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay, but I'm sure sorry that your daughters couldn't enjoy our pool. It should be up and going with a nice "facelift" about mid-March. We look forward to seeing you on your next trip to Gatlinburg. Best Regards,

We are glad we went after the fires. Still at beautiful place to stay in gatlinburg. Very convenient location to everything. Edgewater did a great job cleaning from the smoke damage. The hallway had a little smell from the smoke. Once we got in our room there weren't any smells of smoke. The pool area was closed due to smoke...

Thank you for posting regarding your stay after the devastating November fire. We're so fortunate that the Edgewater had minimal damage compared to other properties. Hopefully we will have our pool renovation completed when you are next in our area. It's going to be wonderful. We look forward to seeing you soon. Best Regards,

Older hotel that could use some updating. But the views are great, the room was clean and the staff was friendly. I had no problems with the food or the internet during my stay. The hotel definitely has location going for it. Right in the middle of town and close to everything.

Some friends and I stayed here Christmas Eve. Our room was clean, although we didn't have any pillows. We had to go to the front desk and ask for some but they brought some up no problem. I'd say the decor is nice and fairly new. It's clean and spacious. Our balcony was over the river which was wonderful. The...

Thank you Brittany for reviewing your recent stay. I apologize that you had no pillows in your room. Due to the fire, everything was taken out for cleaning. I'm glad we were prompt in getting them to you. We appreciate your patronage and look forward to hosting you again when you are next in the Gatlinburg area. Best Regards,

The hotel could use some paint, the pool was...

We go to the Great Smoky Mountains several times a year (hiking and to photograph) and usually stay at the 'other end' of the park in Townsend. This time we popped into Gatlinburg for a couple of days on our way home from a visit in Pennsylvania. This is our first stay at the Edgewater and while it was better...

We have stayed at the Edgewater Hotel for many years when vacationing in the Great Smoky Mountains (Gatlinburg). We love the location. If you go, be sure you ask for the river view (the mountain view is not great as the hotel is basically built into the side of a mountain). The hotel is located on River Road, one block...

Thank you for reviewing your recent stay at the Edgewater. I appreciate your comments and concerns. We do have a pool renovation among other things slated for 2017. The pool work begins in January and will last a couple of months. Also, we try to have our waffle makers out all the time, but when we are full, we sometimes...
