My family and I stayed at the Yoder’s Inn on a visit to Gatlinburg during the busy month of October. My granddaughter and I stayed in one of the rooms close by the outside pool. On the first night my granddaughter came out of the bathroom and said there was a big roach on the wall! I tried to get it but it went in a crack. I called the front desk to ask if we could change our room because we saw a roach. I was informed they were all booked and this was a harmless wood roach. I thought this may have been only one occurrence, but during our stay, there were three other ones, including one roach that was actually on me! I complained to the front desk again and was informed they had pest control come in to spray three times a month and the roaches were coming inside because it was getting colder outside. She said she would inform maintenance. We had another one in the room the very next day. I would have found other accommodations, even during this extremely busy October month, except the rest of the family members were staying there also and we had driven one vehicle. It was not a pleasant stay with constantly watching for bugs every day. I definitely will not stay there again.

It appears that the rooms have been updated. However, our room was updated with an outdated style. Lighting was sparse. Dining room table was too small. Shower head was at eye level. Bathroom fan was ineffective. Beds were loud and uncomfortable.

Took my niece to Gatlinburg for her first time and had a blast. I'll have to say, the hotel was so nice and clean, we had a balcony with the creek view. The staff was awesome and it wasn't a bad walk to the strip. The only downside is the parking. Its narrow and not many spots. But I would stay there again.

Our room lacked lamps in key locations, internet not working , no closet in our room, using electronics is a challenge, bring extra extension cords. Office in the front and a long walk from your room and the laundry facilities. Parking is horrible at this property. TV was fuzzy, HVAC needs attention, is not temperature controlled. either heat or AC only way to control it is to shut it off.

Love the Zoder Inn. This is the 2nd time we have stayed and will be back for more stays. The Inn is CLEAN and everyone is supper friendly and helpful. It's not your typical chain hotel, but that's what we love about staying here. It's fun to walk around the property or just sit on the balcony and listen to the river. It's also within walking distance to downtown so you don't have to deal with the crazy traffic. Definitely don't count this place out when your booking a stay in Gatlinburg.
