Cons: Check-in - There were 3 ladies at “working” the front desk. There was only 1 person in front of me. Took awhile before they decided to check us in and even with prior reservations, check in was not smooth. Room – We got a room on 1st floor right in front of parking lot. We couldn’t have window blinds open because people could look right in our room and we didn’t have a good view. There was a horrible odor in the room. Smelled like stinky sneakers. The carpet might need to be deep cleaned or replaced. Security – Our room was on 1st floor right in front of parking lot. There is a glass door that leads to parking lot from our room. It’s very easy to break into our room and have a car right there to drive off. There was no in room safe. Patio - looked at parking lot and only had 1 chair. Free Continental breakfast – Poor selection. Only thing I had to eat was a biscuit and coffee. Could use better selection. Pros: Location: It is central location close to many attractions. Beds: The beds were very comfortable and perfect height. Overall would not return here.

We traveled with friends and both couples felt the same way, this is the cleanest place we have ever stayed. We love to travel and we have stayed at a lot of establishments, but the Greystone was very clean. It even got to the point where we (as a group) were looking for something dusty! The people were very nice, the location could not have been better for a Gatlinburg trip. Even with the trolley stopping at the front door we never rode anywhere. The location was so perfect that we just walked. The breakfast was good, everything was fresh, biscuits were very good and they had warm donut-holes.... The rooms are good sized and the balcony is a nice thing, we enjoyed the sound of the steam running by our room. Furniture is dated and tv small for the space, but it was all spotless. An interesting little notation of meticulousness even the microwave and room clocks were set at the correct time! Overall a job well done for a place that has been around since the1940's. Thumbs up!!

First time in Tennessee... While it is a good location to the strip (easy walk), our room was 1st floor on parking lot side, so the patio was a 3 x 5 pad right next to the sidewalk. Low water pressure in a creaky shower (tub) Lots of noise from parking lot Mattress, you could feel the springs Room was on the small side NOT a $200 a night hotel...pictures are very deceiving.

The hotel is in need of some serious remodeling, for the most part the staff was accommodating. We had a group of about 65 specialty cars and every time we went out we had to scramble for parking when we got back. Every other hotel we stayed at blocked off an area of the parking just for us. I definitely would not stay there again when there are much nicer hotels around.

We had a great time. Excellent location especially if you're interested in taking the trolleys. Which I would recommend instead of fighting with traffic. Wasn't please with breakfast expected more options menu definitely needs to change.

The room was basic but comfortable which is all I require as I spent my time outdoors as much as possible. I booked the room directly and believe I got a better rate doing so. The continental breakfast was lacking but will not prevent me from booking for my future trips to Gatlinburg. Conveniently located within walking distance to everything on the strip.

We stayed here as part of a large group of sports car enthusiasts. This hotel needs to invest in maintenance of their rooms. Our room smelled musty, the bathroom door was falling apart on the bottom, because it had been wet too many times. We spilled a small amount of tea on the carpet and when we attempted to scrub the carpet our rag turned brown. No telling the last time the carpets were steam cleaned. Our bed was comfortable, but others in our group said theirs was lumpy or that the foot of the bed was higher than the head. The buffet style breakfast was fine. No meat is served which didn’t bother us as we eat very little meat anyway. The coffee was mediocre. Generally we are not difficult customers to please, and even though the room rate for our group was decent, this lodge needs to invest in more maintenance.
