We really enjoyed staying here. We were permitted to check in early so our toddler could nap, which we were very grateful for. The hotel is tucked away along a river and next to one of our favorite restaurants, so we loved the location. The beds are insanely comfy, the two sinks were great, and I loved sitting on the balcony. We did have an initial issue checking in, and came across a very unfriendly staff member, but you can tell most of those working there take a lot of pride in keeping the hotel clean and hospitable. We will definitely consider returning.
First let me say that I'm super picky when it comes to hotels. Looking at online pictures the outside does not flash "new" or fancy but let me tell you, I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. The hotel was remodeled and the rooms are adorable, comfy, perfect for 2 or a family. It was clean and had a clean smell. With Covid, they replace your towels and things each day. There is no making the beds but we didn't care about that so much. Just happy to be on vacay. Staff took my temp and used health precautions to keep us safe. Did I mention the beds are super comfy? One of the nicer parts was the patio out our room. Many of the neighbors sat outside and we all chatted from our socially distanced spaces. Close to shops and restaurants. We will definitely be back!
First of all, we had an excellent time as a guy's weekend away. This Inn is a virtual walk to anywhere within the city and even to the park. Wanna go to The Park Grill, fish along the streams (shhhh! they are stocked with Trout), explore the strip? This has to be on your short list of places. We chose one of their suites... room 200. It has a full kitchen with the amenities you would expect. Pool? It was open! Breakfast. Simple but convenient and fast. Communication with the front desk was immediate and very pleasant. COVID? NOT here people. This brings me to Scott, the overnight staff. We had a very early departure to a timed meeting, and while on the drive it was noted that one of our party had a missing wallet. While we figured it was still in the car, we couldn't stop and search and risk missing our appointment. The thought came about while driving (it was early and dark) to call the front desk and enlist their help in case it was left behind or (unlikely) fell out. Scott called back in 10 minutes after a sweep of the area and (drumroll) found it in the parking lot nearly underneath the truck parked next to me. Lest I forget to mention, Scott is handicapped and in a wheelchair. The staff has now mailed the wallet to me but I never have met the kind dedication in the hospitality services that I experienced that morning. I consider myself a "small" world traveller and this was simply remarkable. The River Edge Inn had my attention from the reviews and the experience was A+ but this generosity was something that renews the spirit of kindness in a strange time.…
We came to Gatlinburg for a getaway for my husband's birthday. We had a king room with fireplace facing the pool. It was very clean and beautifully decorated. I want those lamps on the nightstands! Plenty of charging ports for our electronics. We didn't pull out our own soap and shampoo as they use bath and body works brand. We loved the gas fireplace. Towels were large and fluffy. I liked the fact that the room was not carpeted but done in faux hardwood. The staff were very nice and friendly and everything was very clean. The mattress was super comfortable. My husband checked the brand as we are looking for a new one. It was that comfy. We will absolutely come back.
Our stay there was excellent ,a clean Hotel and very friendly workers. Highly recommended! The view is beautiful, I am a nature lover. It is a quiet place compared to where I currently live. I love it!!!
