The hotel was sold out the evening we stayed. We had a reservation and arrived in the early evening after dark. The front desk agent said there was one room left, It was on the second floor which was fine, however, the view from our window was blocked by the roof of the entrance of the hotel lobby. We were really expecting a better view. Oh well, the room was still nice and beds were comfy. The indoor swimming pool was kind of a let down. Very small and shallow and the water was too cold us. We did, however, enjoy the hot tub outside. We had it all to ourselves for a few minutes until a large group of people decided to join us. We left after about five minutes because it was not possible to stay socially distanced / CoVID. Breakfast in the restaurant was just okay. Food was decent but waitstaff was hurried and not friendly.…
Arrived in Gatlinburg, New Year's eve 2019 and stayed for a few days after. I had booked the room 4 months earlier in expectation of the New Year's Celebration downtown for our family of four. What we didn't expect was a upper floor room directly facing the downtown Needle! We stayed outdoors for some of the festivities then moved inside due to the colder temps and watched the entire fireworks display from our room! The hotel was really nice and the staff was exceptional. There were some complimentary items in the lobby. The only thing I didn't like was the free coffee didn't start til almost 7! I am awake at 5am! But overall free parking and a very clean hotel made this the perfect stay. Oh and we can't forget the hot tub outdoors that was so nice in 40 degree weather! If we are in Town again we will definitely stay at the Hilton Garden Inn!…
This is our favorite family hotel in the Gatlinburg area. It is clean and has a great staff. The location is prime in that you can walk out the back parking lot and it connects to the Hampton Inn off the main drag. It was nice to be able to park our car in a safe lot and just walk everywhere. The only thing I have to say negative is the guy working the bar that night was very brash and not friendly at all which was noticed by my family getting drinks. But the rest of the staff was very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely stay here again.
I loved my stay at HGI Gatlinburg Downtown. I cannot say enough good things. The breakfast was fantastic (everything you would want; pancakes, eggs, potatoes, biscuits/gravy, bacon etc etc). Lovely coffee available in the lobby. Hot tub was awesome. The restaurant was pretty good; chicken wings were great but I would recommend a little more sauce on the poutine as it was a little dry. The river running along the front of the hotel was awesome to see and hear daily. The location of this hotel is fantastic as you can avoid the main strip (which takes forever in a car), and simply walk a block or 2 and you're right there. You are 3 minutes drive into the Smoky Mountain Nat'l Park and only about a 20 minute drive to Pigeon Forge. As a Hilton Diamond Member I usually look for Hilton locations first and this Hilton property knocked it out of the park. I would highly recommend. If you can get a balcony room with a fireplace you won't regret it. We stayed here 5 nights at the beginning of November and I must give a huge shoutout to Derek who is a hotel Rockstar in my opinion. He was great on the phone with information before arrival and during the stay. …
After having a horrible stay at a privatly owned rental cabin we left the cabin due to bugs and came here. They took us in at around 4am! They even let us stay all day long. Very clean hotel. The staff here are very polite. Great visit! Will return.
