Yes this is an older motel, but our room was clean and beds were comfy. Very satisfied with the price and location just what I was looking for. We had a creekside room with private balcony, so peaceful and quiet to come back to after the crowds along the parkway. For us older folks, it is a little far to walk to parkway but we drove down to the parking lots near light #8 and it was well worth the $10 to save walking back up the hill after a day of walking the parkway. Would def stay here again.

The location isn’t bad, but the hotel is! It is in need of some serious updating. Our room was supposed to be nonsmoking, but it reeked of cigarette smoke. The place needs to just be torn down. Tiles were missing in the bathroom. It was almost impossible to get any water pressure.

The rooms are dated and need renovations but the pool area is wonderful! Our room had a fireplace and balcony. Parking was okay, and the staff were very friendly. The price was very affordable and overall I wouldn’t mind coming back for another trip!

For an older hotel I was very pleased with my stay. The rooms were clean and the front desk staff very helpful. The trolly stopped right at the front so it was very easy to get around. The only complaint I had was that the hot tub was NOT adults only and the pools were open until midnight. This would have been fine for the inside pool because it wasn't near any rooms but the outside pool was right outside the rooms. Since it happened to be the "fall" break for some there were loud kids until midnight every night.

So they are definitely trying to do their best with a very dated space, but it’s not worth staying here if you can help it. Sheets were clean, but everything else was pretty rough. Broken furniture, gross carpet, and saw two roaches over the weekend. Makes you nervous to touch any surfaces.
