Lovely and relaxing unit. Close to many attractions. Friendly people, always helpful. We enjoyed visiting Gatlinburg, utilizing the local trolley system, and learning the history of the area. This is a family friendly location with many activities.

We had a fantastic week at White Oak resort. Would definitely do it again. Such a relaxing, fun week! My only suggestion would be to heat the larger pool. We enjoyed the smaller one though! Had an amazing time on walks, dinners and the pool.

We booked this property online for the week of 07/03-07/10/2021. It looked like it had beautiful mountain views, quiet, and everything we needed for our family of 5, 2 adults and 3 teens. Little did we know we would be walking into a low lying resort with barely any view of the mountains, all views obscured by tightly packed cabins and the resort is under construction (construction noise is present but minimal). Not only was our cabin "143 RESORT WAY" packed tightly in rows of other cabins our front porch view was the back porches of other cabins and our back porch view was, more cabins. There was no one available for check in, the internet didn't work the entire week - so don't think you will be doing any work or watching movies while there...though they did provide an ipad with resources it never connected despite calling for troubleshooting on many occasions. TVs in every room are great, but not if you cant watch them. This place could be nice, but the cabin is filthy dirty. The greenery in the kitchen has never been dusted, nor has the cabin, there is black mold EVERYWHERE - we had breathing issues the entire time. Every toilet, sink, and shower are covered in mold. We couldnt open windows because the screens were missing so we had to buy flonase to make it through the nights. The toaster is broken on one side. Faucet handles just spin around and water cannot be turned off. Shower heads are dirty with build up, and just trickle. The master bathroom had the sink stopper missing with a moldy toothpaste cap lodged in the drain. The front porch is covered in bird droppings as are the rocking chairs not that we wanted to sit and watch others on their back porch anyway. The washing machine is clogged with powdered soap. The hot tub jets are either clogged or broken on one side, and the water cloudy and very high chlorine concentration. Oh and buy some toilet paper, we ran out and none was re-supplied. Towels are scant but can be washed if you want to do laundry on vacation. Did I mention the upstairs beds are not on slats, so you are basically on a matress on the floor surrounded by large log bed-frames? Some perks were, a nice resort pool, clean bedding, good supply of kitchen wares, utensils, cookware, blender, coffee pots. The kids room with foosball table and arcade worked, and a trunk full of board games was nice. Be warned, the game room is above the master bedroom and this cabin is thunderous with footsteps, creaking noises, foosball and arcade. In a nutshell, don't waste your money on this overpriced, filthy, broken nightmare. Maybe the other cabins here are better but this one is terrible. Search for those cabins in the mountains with beautiful views bu word of mouth and don't rely on photoshopped images of mountain views.

White Oak is a nice place to stay and to visit. Cabins are clean and spacious. HOWEVER do not go to the presentation offered by Smoky Mountain Distributors. They offer free gift cards to sell a membership in a vacation club. The membership is not available on line and so can not be used. They make claims and promises that they do not keep. They do not answer emails or phone calls. RUN from them as fast as you can. Their only interest is your money!!

We had a chance to visit the smoky mountains for our vacation this year. I booked the white oaks lodge in Gatlinburg, this was a great resort. The condos were very nice to stay at, plus we really enjoyed the swimming pool & hot tub. We would definitely stay here again.

I love these log cabin homes that are a little outside of Gatlinburg on the back side of the mountain. They have everything you need for comfortable week's stay. Roomy, comfy, convenient & quiet. Nice pool, friendly staff & reasonable rates. My only complaints are the inefficiency of the maintenance staff & the ongoing construction of 12 more cabins on the grounds.

We having been coming to White Oaks for 10 years 3 to 4 times a year. We do love the location and people here. However, we have noticed a steady decline in the condition of the condos and cabins. Our complaints and observations fall on deaf ears. The condos are in desperate need of updating. The carpeting is the same as 10 years ago and is now threadbare, the same 10 year old furniture is uncomfortable and floors and molding need refinishing. Some cabinet doors are falling off the hinges, etc. TVs definitely need to be replaced. We’ve been told they are in the process of updating for years. It’s sad to see a quality resort being let go in such a way. We have been told that all the condos and cabins are always booked so there is no time to attend to these issues. This is off season. A perfect time to to update. All of this being said, we still enjoy coming to White Oak but wish the owners would invest in a little preventive maintenance and updating. Too bad the same attention to the grounds isn’t given to the condos and cabins.

The cabins may be nice The condos are clean and very nice but the cony are extremely loud and not good if you are there to experience Gatlinburg it is quite a drive everyday. We requested and was told this location was in down town.

It appears that you booked your stay from a 3rd party service and that you apparently received some misinformation as the resort is actually located about a 9 mile drive outside of Gatlinburg. The majority of our guests appreciate the peaceful, quiet natural setting of the property but some prefer to be right in town! Thank you mentioning that our condos and cabins are nice and clean. Hope you enjoyed your vacation.

We stayed in cabin 160 (1 Bedroom) for a week and we cannot say enough good things about White Oaks. From booking to check in and check out it was customer service at its finest. The cabin was spacious, clean and well equipped with everything one needs; even a washer and dryer. And oh, the hottub, yes please! All the people on the premise were super friendly. Johnny and Janine and even the property manager (sorry I forgot your name) are the most kindest people one can meet. We already booked again and we cannot wait to go to White Oak Lodge and Resort, a home away from home.

My husband and I stayed here for an anniversary trip. The cabin was nice; we stayed in a two bedroom. The king sized bed was okay, had a dip in it but we slept well. The hot tub was great (call ahead to have it ready for you if you want to use it your first night). We enjoyed the fire place in the cabin. The shower was roomy and nice. It was nice having our own kitchen and laundry unit. Pool table was nice. Can't review the pool as it was closed since we were there before Thanksgiving. The fitness center was under construction so it was kind of weird and cramped as some walls were going up in there. Only a stair machine and treadmill. Some free weights, medicine ball and exercise ball. Couple matts. There was construction going on on site so one morning especially just after 6 AM there was loud noise which was annoying. Not sure why they'd start so early. Our biggest complaints were the tvs are super small; especially in the rooms, ancient tiny ones. And the wifi was pretty much useless every evening and most mornings. Only time I found it worked was the one day we happened to be in early afternoon, otherwise it was pretty much non existent.

Thanks for your detailed review. Wish we could improve upon the wifi signal but its as good as we are going to get being surrounded by the Smoky Mountains. Sounds like you really enjoyed your stay and we thank you for being our guests.
