Had been through Baker, NV about 4 years ago and this venue was less than ideal. Fortunately, the owners have found their calling and are transforming this inn (and restaurant) into a must visit location. Some rooms have been renovated and others are in the...More
Accommodations are limited in the area but this is THE place to stay. Friendly staff, WIFI, very clean room, fair price, and splendid restaurant with nice wine and cocktail selection. It's an older, quiet, roadside motel that has been rejuvenated. We slept with the windows...More

The drive up to the visitor center where the astronomy program is held is about 5 miles away and is approximately a 7-8 minute drive. There are lights in Baker where we are located and minimal light up at the park but the drive will be dark with only illumination from the stars and the moon. Always a good idea to be alert as there could be wildlife on the road but it is a safe drive.
