We recently spent two weeks at Great Basin National Park, mostly camping. We stayed here twice, one week apart during that time, basically when we felt in need of showers. We had the same room both times. The room was small and equipped with everything we needed, bed, bedside table, lamps, dresser, bathroom. There is no TV but a monitor...

I made a reservation for a two night stay at the Silver Jack Inn a month in advance. We wanted to visit Great Basin National Park and this place looked like it would fit the bill. There is really not a great many choices in Baker, NV unless you are camping. The restaurant, the Electrolux Cafe, which adjoins the motel...

We were focused on a visit to Great Basin National Park, and the entrance is out of Baker, NV. This is the ONLY "motel' I could find at that location, and we selected it based on location. For this reason - we give location a 5. That was perfect. The facility, however, is another story. It was very clean --...

A really lovely place with comfortable rooms in a cute town. Unfortunately the owner was away which meant the adjoining cafe wasn't opening, a shame because it looked great. Nevertheless Jimmy served as an excellent host - a great place to stay.

I recognise some find the rooms basic and dated. I was fine with this given the price. I had No7 (room in a subdivided trailer I think). Really though it was clean and as quirky as the Cafe. All terribly let down by the guy running it who seems quite unhappy and a little short-tempered. If this was not just...

The owner(?)/server was sarcastic and seemed to delight in keeping us waiting. "I'll get to you when I can" despite there being only one other table of diners in the place. I order the breakfast sandwich - egg and bacon (no ham available) - it was dry. My husband had the omelet (he is not a picky eater) and after...

We've been enjoying this quirky place for 10 plus years. We've driven the 4 1/2 hrs from our home to enjoy Terry's fabulous pizza. We've sat at the patio and shared our pizza & wine with some German tourists & had a great time. The breakfasts are wonderful & we enjoy the granola & coffee. My husband says if you...

We booked as the closest option to Great Basin NP to start a 3 week roadtrip. We have a high funky tolerance We arrived late and left early... First, the positive they did not totally give away our reservation, the bedding and towels were clean and the bed was comfortable. Silver Jack self-describes their plumbing as idiosyncratic which meant for...

Very cluttered place in the Lectrolux Cafe. No counter-top space. I went in the morning for tea. While handing over the tea cup it spilled. I was shocked when he gave me a a rag and asked me to cleanup. Unbelievable !!!

This place may not be for everyone, but I thought it was awesome. No frills but reasonably-priced. I was very comfortable hanging out here after my day's adventures in Great Basin National Park, which is just minutes away. The food is very good and there is a surprisingly solid beer, wine, and scotch (!) selection. I enjoyed hanging out on...
