We took our children ages 14,11 and 7 to Moose Head ranch this summer and had one of the best family vacations ever! The scenery is magnificent, the rides exceeded our expectations and the service could not have been better. Moose Head is a very special place - Kit, Louise, Mark, Ginger, Eddie, Chris and Lindsay make you feel like... More

This was by far our favorite family vacation ever. The setting is unbelievably beautiful, like a post card or an Ansel Adams photograph. Everyone is so warm and helpful and accommodating, from the hosts Louise and Kit Davenport, to Eddy and his staff of wranglers, to the cabin girls and the kitchen staff, etc. It's almost as if you are... We had a fantastic time at Moose Head. Not only is the location stunning, but the hosts and staff were wonderful, the riding was extremely fun, and the food and accommodations were first rate. The wild life viewing while horseback riding was first rate. One day we even had to detour around a bison herd! Our children had a blast,... More

This was our 2nd time staying at Moose Head. It is just a spectacular place! We have 2 boys, 18 and 21 and it is their favorite vacation spot. All of the people working there made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. The cabins are cozy, yet very roomy with comfortable furniture and a wood stove. The... More

We’re a couple aged 61 and 59 and we thought it would be fun to spend a week at a dude ranch. It was. Let’s start with the ranch’s location. About 25 miles north of tony Jackson and with a spectacular view of the Grand Tetons, it’s also about 25 miles south of the Yellowstone south entrance. There couldn’t be... More

I cannot really add anything more than what has already been said in previous reviews about the exceptional food, views, and people. But I do want to thank the entire MH staff and family. You helped me show my family the reason I loved riding growing up. I was apprehensive to bring a husband, two teens, and a child, who... More

A dream vacation come true... The views from the Ranch, the lodge and the cabins are stunning. The service is very personalized. In fact the Davenport's who own and run the place since two generations give you (and their employees) the feeling of being part of their family. They make all your wishes come true! You will have your personal... More

The word "hospitality" was made to describe Moose Head Ranch. By the end of the first day, everybody on the ranch -- Louise, Kit, Eddie, Ginger, Mark -- knew our names, where we are from and how we were related. Activities at the ranch are set up to encourage family-centered experiences. Trail rides are organized for each family alone and... More

simply put---great people who run and work at the ranch, our family (boys 17 and 15 and mom and dad) would rate this as our favorite family adventure of all time: riding, eating, fishing, water rafting all together
