Detailed Reviews
We used VCO’s Christmas discount sale for their 4-day partial outfitting package. The staff was very friendly & knowledgeable about the locations & fishing, & gave some suggestions based off of our goals. I will definitely be using them again.

Voyageurs outfitted us for our 4 day, 3 night trip on the Granite River. My wife, daughter and I took a canoe and SUP board around the route. We put in at Granite Lake, then canoed along the Minnesota/Canada border before returning directly to Voyageurs camp. The entire trip was a lot of fun. Spectacular scenery and wildlife to experience. Since we were first timers, Voyageurs outfitting us made it much easier and relieved our concerns. The route and equipment review at the start was particularly helpful. The bunk room the night before was a big help to manage the trip logistics coming from Minneapolis. The entire team was helpful, optimistic and friendly the entire time. We would definitely use them again. Thanks for the memorable trip!

Husband and I stayed in the Black Bear cabin for four nights. Comfortable and secluded. Be aware that the cabin is across the narrow river and up a steep path. The cabin is well equipped. Lovely wildlife, quiet and peaceful. The staff are top notch. Knowledgeable, helpful and attentive. Being towards the end of the Gunflint Trail, the location is rather isolated, so bring your supplies. We had an excellent stay. Extremely happy with our decision to go with this outfitter.

+1
This place exceeded expectations! We rented a boat for the day and will definitely be coming back but this time we will be staying on the grounds. The staff is friendly, helpful and take the time YOU need to make sure you feel comfortable. We caught tons of fish, saw some wildlife, enjoyed beautiful scenery, and had the time of our lives. An experience we will never forget. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!!

Voyageur outfitters made this marvelous adventure possible for foreign novices like us. The briefing was extremely effective: short, to the point and comprehensive. The gear was adequate and easy to use. Place was well organised for COVID.
As to the trip in the Boundary Waters itself - there are no words to describe how magical that is.
(tip: buy an extra map at VCO - always more fun trying to find your way with two)

I have been to this outfitter 3 times to this point and have loved it every time. The bunk houses are basic but do what is needed prior to heading out for your trips. The breakfast on the morning you leave is great. Pancakes, sausage and juice is a great way to get started. The outfitting is great and they give you everything that you could need. There is always a ton of food and it is good for camping. Matt and the VCO crew do a great job communicating and accommodating changes if you need them. I would highly recommend this outfitter if you are looking in this area.

I cannot say enough about how happy I am with their services.
Our trip with them was flawless and they helped us plan and take care of details we forgot to. They did everything they said they would. I cannot recommend them enough.
After two less than satisfactory trips with an outfitter just down the gunflint we switched to Voyageur and are glad we did.

Thank you VCO for help with a great trip! You were very responsive to our need to make changes and to tailor our trip to our wishes. We even got to stay in the Loon bunkhouse again. Year number 4 for our crazy group at VCO. The Laughing Loons.

I've used VCO 3 years in a row. I guess that says it all. Matt and the crew are friendly, helpful, and their cabin, breakfast, and tow package is a real smooth way to get you off on your BWCA adventure. Anything you could need or forget is available in their store and their equipment is top notch. I was looking for straight shooting service, I found it, and I keep going back.

I have been going to the BWCA since 1985 and this was the best service I have ever had. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Everything was immaculate. I am 75 and took the tow in and out. Could not think of anything that would have made this a better trip.
