My family has been staying at Naniboujou Lodge for over 30 years and we hope to continue our visits for years to come. We LOVE that there are no tvs, phones, or 'touristy' amenities. Our kids have always been entertained by looking for pretty stones on the beach and throwing rocks into Lake Superior. The walk along the shore, the...

This is my second time to stay here with friends in the summer. As you will see in previous reviews, this is a place where you come to "retreat" and "un-plug". Yes, they haven cell phone, internet and cable services here, but one should spend time to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Northern Shore, talk a walk along the...

This was the cleanest facility I have ever stayed. It is incredibly well kept and beautiful. The rooms are small and there are few amenities, but it was a delightful stay with a lovely lodge and lots of lawn on the shores of Lake Superior. The dining room is an incredible site with a huge fireplace and beautiful Cree decorations....

I was very pleasantly surprised by the very good condition of the lodge. Everything was very clean and in excellent condition. Things looked freshly painted inside and out. Small, but very nice room with a fireplace. Sleep number mattress. Very friendly staff that can often be seen cleaning. Beautiful location on lake and Brule River. Beautiful dining room and fireplace....

Located right on the shore of Lake Superior, the lodge was once a 1920's private club that did not survive the stock market crash or the great depression. Naniboujou has been restored to recapture the ultra-exclusive private-club feel with a dose of whimsy in the Great Hall. We stayed in Room 12, a lake view room on the second floor....

We were very excited to come here but were soon disappointed in everything except the beautiful restoration which has been done throughout. First disappointment: no liquor license, so no wine with the lovely entrees on the menu--so we had burgers (which were delicious). Disappointment #2: all books in the shelf for guests to borrow were religious books. #3: orchestrated hymns...

Return visit and always find the historic decorations amazing.. We just ate lunch and soup and sandwich were delicious and service was excellent. The place is sparkling clean and a east for eyes and mouth combined. We just wish they served wine or beer as they would be such a tasty addition to the menu.

First of all - understand that there are NO phones, NO tv, NO cell phone coverage, NO internet. What there IS is a wonderful, beautiful, quiet little lodge in an amazing location, with an incredible dining room, and a staff that treats you like long-lost friends. If you like to hike or paddle your canoe, there are endless places in...

We love Naniboujou, from its historic dining room to it's quirky but nice rooms to the outstanding meals in the dining room in front of the biggest stone fireplace in Minnesota. But, the thing that brings us back every year is the staff of folks that work here. You simply will not find a nicer family and nicer people working...

I stayed here with my husband over Valentine's weekend and we really enjoyed our stay. The lodge is cozy and beautiful. The staff were all so kind. We went skiing on Saturday in Lutsen so we wanted to be on the road by 8:00 am which meant we wouldn't be able to eat breakfast before we left, but the staff...
