My wife and I decided to visit the historic Naniboujou Lodge when we were staying in Silver Bay. The drive to the Lodge was beautiful along the Lake Superior shore. The Lodge itself is a unique architectural gem and the richly painted interior is breathtaking. Our dinner was good but rather expensive. This would be a great place for a...

An ideal setting to relax and get away from it all. For over 30 years I have visited this architectural gem to sit by the massive stone fireplace, or to read a book in the solarium, or to walk on the agate beach. The proprietors, Tim and Nancy, know how to care for guests as family. Whenever I visit, I...

Allow yourself to be unplugged for a bit. No Wi Fi. No cell phone. Lovely setting along the shore of Lake Superior. Fall asleep listening to the water slap against the rocks. Delicious meals. State park across the street for beautiful hikes. Even a rainy day in the solarium with a book or games (plenty of choice) is a treat....

My husband and I stayed here for two nights/three days during one of the lodge's winter weekend packages. The drive up the North Shore is beautiful, as is the lodge itself. The desk staff were friendly and accommodating. Be advised that the rooms, because they are from an historic time period, are quite small. This was only an issue for...

Naniboujou Lodge is a wonderful lodge on the shores of Lake Superior that is registered as an Historic Property. The decoration of the dining room is beyond description. The rooms are updated and very comfortable. Rates are reasonable. The food in the dining room is 5 star. The owners and the staff of the lodge are wonderful and make everyone...

In the past we've had lunch and dinner. This time we're just passing through after hiking The Devil's Kettle across the street at Judge Magney State Park. The gift shop is always inviting and the lodge itself is simply something to behold. I've sent many people here through the years. What a glorious jewel of the North Shore! One really...

We recently stay two nights at Naniboujou Lodge. This is a truly historic lodge with stunning views on Lake Superior. You can rest and relax as there is no internet or television. The rooms are small and the walls are paper thin, but the experience is worth it. It is clean and the service is excellent. We ate in the...

Just as advertised. Lovely historic building. Best food of trip. Charming wait staff. Toured the grounds following lunch and admired the view. Sat awhile in the chairs watching the people and water. Would enjoy to come back for a stay.

This place has a great history and it shows in the rooms. They are tiny -- spent 10 minutes trying to figure out where to keep 2 suitcases and 2 dop kits (which could not fit in the bathroom). The shower was "cozy" meaning you could not be inside and adjust the water and avoid scalding. Adjusting from outside meant...

This is a beautiful lodge with character and jaw dropping history. It takes you back to a time when families stayed, played, and laughed together. We saw generations eating, playing card games, and skipping stones together in the quiet of the evening. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The dining is picturesque and very nice. We took a stroll after...
