No need or concern goes unaddressed here! The property is just amazingly beautiful; you truly cannot find a flaw in this glorious place. But Deb, she's the key to making your visit here come together as seamlessly as humanly possible. She'll feed you like an Olympian every morning as well, so you'll be fully fueled and prepared for your days...

We stayed here for 3 nights in the blue room. What made our stay great was Deb's attention to all that we needed, from warm clothing for day boat, to making dinner reservations, touring the town, and mapping out great hikes, bikes and walks for us....the breakfasts were the best we have ever had at any b&b...Pete was a great...

Blue Heron is a wonderful place to stay. Accommodations are modern and clean. Hostess was extremely helpful and friendly. In addition to arranging tours for us, Deb provided parkers and rainslicks which were needed for our boat tours. When Deb found out it was our wedding anniversary, she upgraded us to a suite. She also worked with our daughter to...

My husband and I spent 3 nights in the fireweed cottage. The porch looked out to a field of fireweed flowers, which was absolutely gorgeous. Cabin is decent size with a kitchenette. The toilet was having flushing issues, thus we could not put toilet paper in it. Had to put in the trash can. That was a little gross for...

Our family of 4 stayed for 3 nights. Deb went out of her way to make us comfortable and was extremely helpful booking our sea kayak and Glacier Bay tours. She even made dinner reservations for us at another local lodge. Her "stable" of townie bikes made getting around Gustavus fun and easy. And breakfasts were delicious and filling!

Stayed four nights at the Blue Heron Bed and Breakfast in Gustavus, Alaska. Beautiful setting, gracious hosts, lovely visit. We spent equal time touring Glacier Bay, hiking and just sitting in beautiful garden reading, viewing the mountains, and watching the eagles fly in and out of nearby nest. Breakfast was delicious and host, Deb, flexible with time schedules and helpful...

We often stay in B&B’s, enjoying the warm hospitality of most hosts and local knowledge they can share. But Deb is in a class by herself for hospitality; she makes you feel more like adopted family than merely guests passing through. As a long-time part of the community she can make things happen you couldn't do on your own. She...

We spent 5 nights recently (May 24-29, 2016) at the Blue Heron Bed and Breakfast. We had read the reviews on Trip Advisor before booking, and I have to say that the reviews were spot on. The owner, Deb, spent a lot of time (via email and phone) listening to what we wanted to do during our stay, and then...

My wife and I stayed here for four nights in the Lupine cottage. The cottage was very nice and spacious. The breakfasts were very good and offered a large variety of things to eat. We had a rental car that was very helpful for getting around. Deb helped us with various reservations and proved to be a huge help when...

We arrived in Gustavus after a hard back packing trip, and I had picked up a cold. We were exhausted, I was sick, and we just wanted to land somewhere comfortable. Deb welcomed us so warmly and took such good care of us. The cabin we stayed in was incredibly comfortable, and she knows absolutely everything about Gustavus and the...
