It is the most affordable option in West Glacier and the location can't be beat. With the price as affordable it is you should know not to expect anything fancy. The room was a bit damp, the walls a bit thin and the shower a bit small. But overall - you're just there for the park and not to spend time in your hotel room. It was perfectly located and very clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Nothing fancy, but in this price range - that's what you're expecting anyway.
We were the first and only guests of the season. An alarm clock blared at midnight from the next room, and after receiving little to no sleep, the hot water had not been turned on so we could not take showers in the morning.
Took the Amtrak train to Chicao and got on the Empire Builder first-class cabin with all meals and excelent service. Went in mid February to see what a Montana Blizzard would look like.. only snowed on my way back home after 5 days at the motel.. Great food and nice as can be waitress. This was back in the late 80's and it was a relaxing trip.
This is a great location, just outside the entrance of Glacier. Just a basic hotel room, no TV, poor cell service, But you're in Glacier. Pricing was good compared to inside Glacier. In West Glacier village, which has a grocery store and restaurant.
The room was hard to find at night when we arrived because there was little outdoor lighting. Our room was small and cramped with insufficient outlets to charge our devices. There was no outlet in the bathroom. and only two duplex outlets in the room itself.
