Our month-long stay at Adobe Agave was just what we wanted while exploring the hiking trails near Silver City. The charming furnished apartment had everything we needed....a well-equipped kitchen, separate bedroom with a very comfortable queen-sized bed, cable television and good wi-fi. A convenient location near the university campus and historic downtown area was a plus. Ellen is a delightful host, preparing delicious muffins and responding quickly to any questions we had. She made us feel quite welcome in her comfortable inn. I highly recommend this lovely place to stay in Silver City, New Mexico.
My wife and I recently spent a month at Adobe Agave. We needed a home base for exploring the Silver City area and were very fortunate that we chose Ellen's historic and comfortable lodging. It's the type of place that we look for when away from home. Something with character that reflects the local life style rather than a modern chain establishment that offers the same environment from coast to coast. The units, each somewhat different in design and decoration, are clean and comfortable and perfectly situated for experiencing this charming area. Located in a residential area near a small park, you'll probably meet some of the locals. Walking distance to the university, the vast open space, and the hist downtown area. Highly recommended/excellent value.
I have loved my stay here. I rented unit #5, and overall was really satisfied. Ellen, the owner/manager, was very accommodating, and offered up what she refers to as her favorite unit. A fully contained apartment with a separate bedroom, this place has it all. A full kitchen with anything you'd need, a pretty comfortable full size bed, a comfy love seat to lounge on in the living room, and a nice dining area. Plenty of light, and easy to get a lovely breeze by opening windows and doors (front door and back patio door). The back patio is a delightfully cozy area, and all the inside furnishings and wall art add major charm to the place. Tile flooring throughout, and a quaint little bathroom. A small tub - no shower, was the only quirk that wasn't to my ideal preference, but I made do and it added to the charm of the experience. Boston Hill and it's trails are within a short walk away (10 min to Cheyenne St access, or 15-20 for Market St access), downtown is also a nice little walk away (.7 of a mile), and this is central for driving to a ton of amazing hiking spots the area, especially the stunning Gila National Forest. Absolutely well worth it and well worth returning to. I'd originally booked 4 nights and added two more given how much I've liked it both here as well as in Silver City.…
Had a delightful stay at the Adobe Agave. Apartment #1 was just right for me, my husband, and our teenage daughter. Ellen is a wonderful host and her historic house is full of character and fabulous personal touches. The charm of the space definitely added to our visit. Great location, easy check-in and check-out, well-appointed, and comfortable beds. Thank you. We’ll definitely stay again.
This is a wonderful place to stay if you want to experience New Mexican architecture, art, plants, and hospitality! The apartment style B&B was exactly what we were looking for and the owner was super pet friendly. Perfect comfortable getaway!
