I have nothing but positive things to say about the team responsible for helping our parents’ surprise anniversary party a huge success back in July 2021. Irene, Fernanda and Henry were amazing to work with! While I find their food & beverage menu costs to be a bit pricy, their teamwork and flexibility to make our casino-themed vision turn into a reality is greatly appreciated and will not be forgotten. They were flexible to customize the menu to cater to our audience. Our Banquet manager and event planner were spot on, attentive and thoughtful as our team setup the room and executed the event.

We were traveling for work and specifically chose this hotel based on a positive past experience We asked for an upgrade at check-in given our loyalty status but were told they could only offer us a slightly larger room When we arrived to the room the AC was not working properly At 5 pm when we left for dinner, we reported this issue to the same lady who checked us in When we returned from dinner at 10 pm the AC was still not working When we went back down to report this again instead of immediately offering us another room they made us wait over 20 minutes for someone to come check AC We called again to advise no one had shown up yet and we just wanted another room Once again we go back down to front desk (third time now), we get to new room on higher floor but it is smaller size and not very clean There were stains on pillows dirty vent in bathroom hair on bath tub and more stains on bathroom door (see photos) We had brought our own cleaning supplies to touch up regular cleaning not thinking we would have to worry about it being that dirty At 11 pm WE are cleaning the room The next morning we reported these issues and showed the manager the photos who was very apologetic however; he only offered us to have housekeeping clean again and also offered some points but no attempt to move us Breakfast at M Lounge is only available until 10 am and no access for water or snacks throughout the day We got bonus points but felt a review was necessary to warn other travelers.

I booked a room at this hotel because the reviews seemed good, it was convenient for where I needed to be, and because as a Marriott Titanium Elite I thought that at a "full-service" Marriott, some of the basic benefits would be honored. I will say that the staff interactions I did have were pleasant. I arrived late, got to my room, and the smell of mildew was pervasive. When I went to the bathroom, the smell was stronger, although it wasn't totally clear where it was coming from. I called the front desk a few times, but no one answered. I sent a message through the app, and no one responded, even by the next morning. So I just went to sleep because I was so tired, in a room that smelled of mildew. A slightly more minor point, but if you are a Marriott Elite member, know that the hotel continues to cost-cut and not offer elite benefits. Marriott's brand standards dictate that for a welcome amenity at Marriott properties, Platinum and higher guests are to receive A CHOICE between 1,000 points and a $10 F&B voucher. The front desk just said they were giving the points, with no choice. When I asked about the voucher, they said they were not authorized to give it, even though there is a clear use for it—there is a hotel bar and coffee shop on property, both open. Just cheap. Also, even though there is a coffee shop on property, and even though Marriott instructed properties to begin honoring Elite breakfast standards in July, they do not offer a voucher for breakfast, instead offering only 750 points, the standard compensation. No doubt this is all because offering points is FAR cheaper than offering vouchers to Marriott elite guests. And to top it all off, despite all of this, they gave me the wrong (fewer) number of points as compensation. I'm not traditionally a complainer, and can usually roll with the punches, but the mildew, the unanswered calls to the front desk, the cheap skimping on elite benefits, all add up to a property that was just not worth staying at. Especially if you expect some kind of elite benefits (or expect the CORRECT number of points as compensation), it's better to stay somewhere else.

The rooms are spacious by NYC standards but the best thing about the hotel are the people that work there. Leonard in the M Club and Cheryl at the Front Desk are absolute gems. They were what set the hotel apart from the competition. Thank you for taking such good care of me and I look forward to seeing you again soon.

Had an opportunity to choose this hotel over the Sheraton in Brooklyn and glad I did. Cost a little more but it was well worth it. The atmosphere outside the hotels was completely different. This hotel has a convenient garage if you have a rental car. Outside and inside of hotel is very clean. Room service and restaurant were both available unlike most hotels in the area.
