AMAZING EVERYTHING!!!! General manager Steve was awesome awesome awesome!! Him and staff provided exemplary service. My family booked two rooms; one presidential suite and one standard room. Both were extremely clean. House keeping was always on standby. Honestly, I have nothing bad to say about this beautiful hotel even if I tried. If I could give a 1000/10 I would.🙏🏾🙏🏾 Thank you!!!!!!
I’ve stayed in NYC many, many times. Stayed here 4 nights in a suite while moving a family member nearby. Space was great, beds comfortable. Cleanliness was meh and the all night partying all around our suite for 2 nights in a row was unacceptable. Walls paper thin, finally had to call at 4am to get some quiet. COVID partying in Brooklyn hotels? No wonder the virus counts are creeping back up.
Booked a room at this hotel online. We arrived and checked in and were given a room on the ground floor. When we got to the room, however, there was a very loud, repetitive, nonstop squeaking noise coming from the AC vent. When we complained the woman at the front desk admitted she knew about the noise and there was nothing they could do, the whole ground floor is like that, and that was the only available room. She later admitted that her manager has instructed her to deliberately NOT inform guests booking or checking in about the noise problem. The noise was intolerable for sleeping, working, relaxing, anything. We ended spending about an hour on the phone to cancel the room and get a refund, and then we had to find another place to stay. I guess all the good reviews of this hotel are from people who didn’t have rooms on the ground floor. On a side note, I was disappointed in the hotel quality- a lot of the furniture in the room and the lobby was cheap looking up close or old and falling apart. Our room was also right on the sidewalk and the hotel is right next to the highway. Overall a very disappointing and frustrating experience.…
I stayed here for roughly a month. I was in NY for work. The rooms are so spacious. The staff was always courteous and helpful. The cleanliness was top of the line. I enjoyed the kitchenette. Loved the bathroom and shower designs. Bedding was extremely comfortable and the workout room was great to have. I would stay here again if working in that area.
I was looking for a hotel that would be comfortable for a long term stay. WOW did I find a gem! Being unfamiliar with New York i wanted to be in walking distance to work and found The Brooklyn by chance. On the surface it may seem like just another "converted" hotel. The carpet outside is just a prelude to the inside. A warm beautiful modern lobby and separate dining and seating area is made all the more welcoming by the staff that works there. John and Joe, along with the night crew and housekeepers are all to notch for customer service. I travel a lot so I was more than pleased that the street view did not match the excellence inside. My room was excellent and spacey. The rain shower was a wonderful surprise as was one of the most comfortable beds i have ever slept in, period. Safe neighborhood with corner store with fresh deli, laundry mart, health food, all one block away. There was nothing I wanted for. What a hidden gem this hotel was. I would have no hesitation in staying here again. Thank you John and Joey!…
