I was locked out of my room for over 45 mins due to a dead key lock on the door. Was told that the person needed to help did not have service, when he walked by the front desk several times while I waited. They then didn’t even inform me when it was done, I just got tired of waiting and walked upstairs again. Missed an important event.

Site says on site parking, no valet and garage is across the street. Hotel not as clean as it should be. There was debris on the carpet in lobby and in the elevator. I checked in and back out within 15 minutes, and the front desk never asked why or if there was anything g she could do. Hotels on the area that give much better service

Horrible customer service. The lady at the front was hooking up with a guy while I wanted to check in. When it was my turn to check in she made me wait an extra 3 mins while she text in a group chat. I was very disappointed

We had booked three night at the Tillary two months before through Expedia. When we landed at LaGuardia we got an email from Expedia saying that our reservation had been cancelled by the hotel. We spent an hour on hold with Expedia, (yep, we had some feedback for them, too), and ended up with a very nice room at the Marriott Brooklyn Bridge, which get five stars from us. While I was on with Expedia, my son called the Tillary, and after getting the run-around he ended up getting some clueless ninny who said it was cancelled, and that was it. No explanation, no apology, no attempt to help us find a room nearby. The Tillary, in short, is obviously a complete mess...steer clear!!

Our hotel stay for July 8-11, 2021 was booked and completely paid for on June 4, 2021. Upon our arrival to the city we recieved alerts regarding flash flooding in the area, and the news that certain parts of the subway were actually flooded. At this same time we recieved an email from The Tillary that had been sent at 12:41pm, while we were in flight, informing us that our hotel reservation was canceled. The email did not explain why, only that we should contact them immediately and they would assist us in finding other lodging "if available". It was my first time to the city and I was unfamiliar with pretty much every aspect of navigating this challenge. I phoned them, and after being placed on hold several different times, I was informed the Red Cross had decided to stay and therefore our room was unavailable. It puzzles me that they didn't try to inform me earlier than 12:41pm on the day of check-in. I do not understand how they could make such a decision with no regard for the difficulty this would place on any customer, but especially given the weather conditions the city was experiencing.
