We stayed one week at this hotel Dec/Jan. From the moment we arrived we loved it. We were checked in by Nigel & Samantha who were very professional welcoming & courteous. The general decor is quirky & cosy. The room is bright comfortable & well equipped. The entire hotel is spotlessly clean. Location is a few minutes walk to a lovely park, bars, cafe's & the area is so lovely & we felt very safe. What we really liked was that staff were very discreet but were so helpful & pleasant when we needed assistance. Its definetly the place to stay in Brooklyn. We will stay here again. Just book it you wont regret it.

Where is the negative star rating? I have never, in my 13 years of living in New York, experienced such a disgusting property. Filled with discrimination, verbal abuse and harassment, attitude, and a complete lack of understanding for what hospitality is. The discrimination against myself as a disabled person and my trained service dog will result in an ADA complaint and potential lawsuit with this property. Mind you, the rooms and experience overall were not worth the stay to begin with just to put a cherry on top.

Honestly, I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed my stay here. First of all. I booked 2 rooms via Travelocity for 2 days, and then when it turned out that my son was only going to stay one night, and me two, I tried to change the reservation and got nothing but a whole lot of nonsense from Travelocity. To the extent that the hotel called me — in the middle of my phone call with Travelocity — to try to get it sorted out. Which Nigel did. My son and I were coming to Brooklyn to see one of the LCD Soundsystem shows and this was a perfect place to stay. Walking distance to Brooklyn Steel, as well as great restaurants on Nassau Street — Five Leaves — and dinner — Fin du Monde, on the way there. Our rooms were spacious and copacetic. Nigel, again, went above and beyond to make sure we were happily settled. The open air terrace looking out to the Manhattan Skyline on the third floor was such a welcome amenity. All the staff were so kind and friendly. And I am a 69 year old woman. So that tells you a lot. Bed was super comfortable and the space in the room was generous with a separate alcove with a couch and TV and desk area. Considering where it was in Greenpoint, it was so quiet. Big ups to Nigel and Heather. I’ve travelled all over, and this was a great place to spend 2 nights,

The Henry Norman has an upscale but relaxed vibe. The decor is really fun, I loved that there was a vintage typewriter in my room. The staff was friendly and helpful. It's located in the heart of Greenpoint, Brooklyn and walkable to lots of restaurants, shops and a beautiful park.
