We chose this hotel because of the location in relation to the Brooklyn cruise terminal and because of trip advisor reviews. It was the perfect pick for us. The staff here were extremely efficient and friendly. Dustin, Kila, and Christina did a great job at the front desk. It was hectic when we arrived and they handled everything with a smile. Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived, got there a little before noon. They stored our luggage and we went to enjoy lunch. We ended up with a room on the 21st floor with a lovely view of Manhattan. What a treat. If you want to walk over the Brooklyn Bridge it’s a 5-10 minute walk. Be sure to watch out for the bikes if you are walking. Again, lovely staff, clean room and a great location. If we are ever back, this is where we will stay.

Hotel's Favorite
Located just off the Manhattan bridge in Brooklyn. Drop-off parking only in front of the hotel - for about 3 cars. Police station directly behind hotel. “Official” parking garage for this hotel is right next door. Charges there for a small car are $38/night; SUVs are $48, etc. - no in/out privileges! No street parking nearby. Front staff check in personnel were efficient but lacked a bit in friendliness - kind of typical NY abruptness. On subsequent days, the front desk staff was very friendly & helpful. We were able to park long enough out front to check in, quickly take luggage up to our room & get back on the road again. Loved our room on 21st floor! Not as spacious as other ‘king’ rooms we’ve had, but stylish & modern and quite adequate. Very clean and surprisingly quiet for being on a busy NY street. Had an undisturbed night’s sleep. Elevator was not slow, but you need to tap room key on number pad to go up; don’t need it to go down. Nice security feature! The breakfast area can get crowded - because of the number of guests this hotel can accommodate. But the breakfast staff work hard at keeping it well stocked & taking care of guests’ requests/needs and very polite, friendly & helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed for two nights for a family wedding. The hotel was nice and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful with tips for sightseeing. It’s walking distance to the Brooklyn bridge and DUMBO. We ate at the restaurant one day and that was pretty good. We’d stay there again.

Review collected in partnership with Hampton
While visiting NYC for the first time, I had an excellent four-night stay at this hotel. It was central to my needs and close to the subway and eateries if you’re willing to take a short walk. This hotel is located on a bustling and busy intersection with lots of traffic, horns blowing and people moving. One cannot expect to come to the city that never sleeps and actually think you’re going to sleep. If this bothers you, ask for a different location as I was on the 11th floor with views of Manhattan. The extended breakfast was always hot and plentiful when I came down and the coffee was always piping hot. Since my daughter is vegan, it would be a nice touch to have some additional options, such as almond or soy milk, alvacados and tomatoes, but no big deal as there was fresh fruit. Each evening when I returned, my room was always clean, and I constantly saw staff cleaning the main areas as well. Customer service is high on my list so a special thank you to Crystal for greeting me with her bright smile and Kila for assisting me upon check out and ensuring that I had a great stay. Overall, I would stay here again.

PROS: The location is good for travel into Manhattan. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The free breakfast was good. The staff was very friendly and accommodating when possible. CONS: I am giving this hotel 3 stars because we were never able to get a fully accessible room we reserved. They changed us from a small non acceptable room to a bigger non accessible room. There was one grab bar in both showers and no grab bars near the toilet. The front desk staff told us they didn’t have a room with extra grab bars. The shower is very slippery once wet, so beware. Parking is $38 per night if you have a car.
