Rooms were unbelievably tiny; so small that the desk chair only fit adjacent to, not in front of, the desk. The room reminded me of an office space with beds squeezed into it. Mattress was uncomfortable & sagged. The shower was not sealed, so water seeped from under glass enclosure. There were zero amenities: no refrigerator, no microwave. As there was no parking on the street, overnight parking cost $45 a night! Positives: Location was great for downtown shopping and for public transportation.

Yes I know I am in NYC and prices are high. I don’t ask for much when I stay at a hotel. This hotel was clean, which is most important. BUT check in is at 3 , I get there at 530 after a long hot day. The desk attendant has to call someone to see what room to put us in. After we check in she explains our towels will be brought right up. We get in the room and within 15 minutes call to see if everything’s ok . We remind them of towels. 1 hour later I call again about towels , 30 minutes after that the towels arrive. Needless to say I am late for 730 dinner reservation. 1 bar of soap in the bathroom so that’s to use to shower and wash your hands . Hotels of this size should not overlook these things. Rooms are very small. 2 people in the room with luggage is cramped. They put a 100$ charge immediately on your card for incidentals. Yes it is reversed on check out but unnecessary . Guess I have to accept its NYC .

For a start, the rooms are quite small as compared to their sister hotels, Holiday Inn. There is no drop off area and the front looks unimpressive. There was construction going on next to the hotel and works start early, so try to avoid rooms next to it. There is no parking on site and you will need to find parking close-by, we didn't go with ICON Parking as we found cheaper alternative BUT.... the good side.... very conveniently located hotel, less than 5 mins to Metro station, lots of shopping close by, lots of restaurant in the area, and even a shopping mall close by. Rooms are clean and there is a bar downstairs as well.. Good hotel if you are looking for convenience.

The the reasons this property gets rated well escape me. The area is loud and crowded. Parking is horrible. But, overcoming those first impressions finds you in the kinda small and not more impressive than the exterior, lobby. The staff who checked us in was friendly and helpful. The hallways on the guest floors have a stale musty aroma. Some ventilation would greatly improve the old smell. Our room was small. Two people are not going to move around at the same time in the standard room. The bed was reasonably comfortable. The bathroom was like the room, in need of space. I'm not a fat man but I am bigger than most. At 5'6" and 230 pounds, I'm an avid bodybuilder, I am used to compromising due to my size and shoulder width. But, the shower was almost claustrophobic. I've seen more comfortable bathrooms and showers in travel trailers. If I had to find a place to stay one or two nights in Brooklyn, and didn't want to spend a lot, I might stay again. Despite the unimpressive entrance or location and tiny room, it was clean.

I booked this hotel via Priceline and got what I thought was a great deal. Teeny tiny room, even by NYC standards. Construction everywhere. Tiny lobby, filled with crazy people. Staff wasn’t very friendly.
