If you are looking for a nice home to stay at while visiting New York City, Parkside Bed & Breakfast is your place. Jan, the caretaker, is so nice and his knowledge of the area is unbelievable. Make sure you check out his artwork --- he is truly a gifted artist. There were 8 of us and we stayed there... More

The rooms are spacious, bright, clean, comfortable and welcoming. This is exactly what you should expect from a nice BnB. Remember, its not a hotel and not about 24 hour service or perfect amenities. You are staying in someone's home! And what a lovely home this was! We rented the second floor and had it all to ourselves including a... More

This Bed and Breakfast does not fulfill it's description on the website. Our rooms were not ready when we arrived at the agreed time. Our first impression of the neighborhood was bad. We were concerned about our safety. The only convenience is the close proximity to the subway station. The house itself had it's glory day and would certainly have... More

First of all the location, easy access to Manhattan via subway. The neighborhood(s) is great. Lots of places to eat and drink within easy walking distance. Prospect park across the street and very neat neighborhoods to explore. Jan was very nice, gave us advice and respected our space. The room is large and available kitchen, breakfast items are provided but... More

My brother and I stayed in Brooklyn to visit family. It was so convenient to Prospect Park, Subway, and local restaurants. This is not a traditional B&B where you are served a full breakfast but you are provided a variety of foods/snacks in your own kitchen. The beds were comfortable and we had the entire third floor to ourselves( 3... More

My sister & I booked this property on a recent trip to the city with our mother. Upon check-in we were greeted by an elderly man in a stained t- shirt - evidently this is his home. We had rented the top floor of the house...he led us up an open stairwell that allows you to see into all three... More

The Parkside B&B is located across the street from Prospect Park in Brooklyn, NY, and a very short walk to the subway system, the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and the Brooklyn Museum... all of which deserve visiting and using. Our room on the third floor was clean and comfortable, and quiet; the hot shower was refreshing, and having a kitchen was... More

This is a lovely home directly across from Prospect Park that was relatively easy to drive to, and we found a parking spot directly in front of the building. (NOTE: cars must be 'rotated' at an annoyingly regular basis if kept on the street but, hey, this is New York!). The proprietor was accommodating and available without being intrusive. We... More

Not being familiar with NY or Brooklyn I booked this because of the price. The location was ok if you like looking at a running park. Parking is tricky and actually had to get up early one day and park In a garage walk 1/2 mile to and from for 3 hr charge because there was no parking at the... More
