Our first NY hotel stay since the pandemic started. The staff here took all precautions while still being friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but have everything; the free breakfast has returned with safeguards. The location, two blocks from the subway is ideal. Yes, it's noisy outside but not inside. We were given the option of having the room cleaned or not. We were able to leave our suitcases with the staff for pick up later.

AirTrain is a great option for getting there as the LIRR station at Nostrand and Atlantic is right outside. Bus lines north (New York Avenue) and south (Nostrand Avenue), and the B25 (Fulton) and east (B65 on Dean) and west (B65 on Bergen) as well as the A train at Nostrand and Fulton (about 3 street blocks away, and an express stop) make choosing mass transit easy. Lots of ethnic eateries around, and if you get in late there's a 24-hour deli on the corner for your late-night meal needs. Nostrand Wines and Liquors (NE corner of Nostrand and Atlantic) has a great selection of beverages at excellent prices to accompany the usually tasty meals from any of the local eateries. If you're a light sleeper, ask for a room at the back of the hotel so you're away from the LIRR station.

Good value. Parking is very limited. Neighborhood is very noisy, but having subway station right outside is very convenient. Great food market on the corner with good food. Several food options in the area. Staff was very friendly.

The Best Western Arena Hotel was a place for me to lay my head and that’s about the extent of it. Overall, no, I would not elect to stay here again when traveling back to Brooklyn. It wasn’t all bad, but compared to many other hotels I’ve stayed in, this one doesn’t hold a candle to them. So overall here’s my breakdown of the good, the bad, and the ugly. The Good: -staff was pretty friendly during all my interactions -parking was easily accessible and there was plenty for guests (at a premium of course) -it was close to lots of public transportation -cleaning staff adequately cleaned the rooms The Bad: -breakfast was lack luster. Juice machine was broken, bagel bread was stale, but thankfully there was yogurt packs and fresh oranges and apples -there was a giant crack throughout the tile of my bathroom -pillows were bery

Stayed in 3 hotels on this trip: a Courtyard Marriott, a Hampton Inn by Hilton and Best Western Plus and by far, Best Western hit it out of the park. I am a member of all 3 hotel chains and only best Western gave me a bag full of snacks, drinks and even a letter of Welcome. Even though breakfast was cleared away earlier than 9:30am, Best Western offered some excellent items including soy milk and bacon (the good kind). It is also the cleanest of the three. I slept very comfortably.
