Amazing stay for NYE in this hotel! We felt very safe, everyone wore masks. Whenever we needed something for our room, staff member would come wearing mask and gloves and keeping a social distance delivering the things we needed. We didnt want to use housekeeping services during our stay. Hotel is very cosy with a beautifuly decorated lobby, we loved the choice of furniture! Reception staff was so kind, helpful and experienced! Logan was so sweet and cheerful and bright personality and made our stay very pleasant. Location is very nice too! surrounded with great restaurants that offer delivery and outside dining, great coffee shops around too! Would really recommend choosing it for your stay

I stayed at the Hoxton for about 10 nights during October 2019 with a friend. We caught a cab from JFK airport to the hotel which took around an hour each way.

The overall impression of our stay was great. The location was quiet, staff were friendly, the rooms were small but comfortable, the subway was within a 5-minute walk from the hotel and the view of Manhattan from my room was an unexpected bonus.

The only issues we found during the stay was that the front desk had no information on tours or maps of Manhattan which would have been helpful (they were easily obtained through another hotel in Manhattan though). Also, the lobby was always full of random people (not guests) who just sat around on their laptops. This prevented us from spending any time in the seated area of the lobby as there was rarely any room left.

We chose the Hoxton as we wanted to be away from the noise and the crowds (found everywhere in Manhattan). If this is something that is also important to you then I would highly recommend the Hoxton. The walk along the waterfront was a nice way to unwind after a long day.

Hi Brooke E, Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. We sure do appreciate it. For the most part, it appears that you had a great time while at the hotel! We really will take on board your feedback and recommendations about upping our game on tours in the local area. Although there aren't as many offered in Brooklyn when compared to Manhattan, it is still something we can improve on so thank you. The walk down to East State River Park is so easy and BEAUTIFUL! Glad you got to enjoy that. That is one of my favorite recommendations to out guests! We really hope to see you back at the hotel soon. Cheers, Dan

From the moment I checked into The Hoxton, I knew my stay was going to be amazing. Marshall checked me, introduced himself and oriented me to the hotel. Talisa gave wonderful recommendations for places to eat. Daniel B always asked how my stay was and if there was anything I needed. Logan always had a smile on his face, offered a complimentary umbrella for the rain and recommended local places to visit. Jodi greeted me warmly when I returned late at night and offered warm conversation. The rooms were welcoming, the beds very comfortable, the view of the Manhattan skyline across the river was gorgeous day and night. The Hoxton is within easy walking distance of the subway and many local eateries and coffee places. The lobby is open, inviting and relaxing. The hospitality at The Hoxton is among the best I have ever had in the hotel industry. I will definitely be returning again and again.

This was our first stay at the Hoxton Williamsburgs and my fiancé and I were very excited since it had great reviews online and we were really looking forward to hanging out at the Summerly rooftop. Once we arrived at the hotel, we were told the rooftop is closed due to construction. This was not mentioned anywhere on the hotel’s website or any of the travel sites. We then asked the front desk receptionist who was checking us in to see if there were any upgrades available for us since we didn’t arrive at the hotel until 2am due to our flight being delayed. He said there wasn’t anything he can do for us.

We were assigned room 524 and once we got upstairs we went straight for the shower since we were extremely tired and wanted to get in bed. That’s when we noticed how run down the room was. The shower door plastic was falling apart, the toilet was dirty with a ring around it, the towel was old and shredded, there were dirty finger prints on the wall above the headboard and there wasn’t even any toiletries in the bathroom. Not even q-tips!

The last thing we requested was for a late checkout which we were also denied. Overall it was a really disappointing experience staying at the Hoxton and I’m not sure we will ever book with the Hoxton again.

We stayed on the recommendation of our adult children who live in Greenpoint and also travel widely internationally. They hadn’t stayed at this Hoxton but recommended it based on the experiences with the hotel group in other countries.
The hotel was supposedly following strict Covid guidelines- common areas closed bar closed restaurant on limited service masks required everywhere.
The first thing I noticed on entering our room was the mildew smell of a space that had not been aired out in a while. We turned on the AC to act as an air filter.
Going to us the bathroom, I found my hand sticking to the metal door pull. I took a washcloth and hot water and cleaned filth from the handle.
Then I found debris from previous occupants on the floor next to my bed. On further inspection I discovered residue from what looked like food or maybe a sticky sweet drink dripped along the bed rail, down the wood bed frame and onto the floor.
We brought it to the attention of front desk, on our way out for the afternoon. They said they would send someone to take care of it.
When we returned at 8pm it had not been taken care of. I again informed front desk (same guy) who said he would send some one up.
No one came.
This has been the last time I have stayed at this hotel. It is highly unlikely I will ever stay at the groups other hotels.

Our room had a great view of Manhattan, super comfy beds and felt very clean and fresh. The scale of the room/bathroom was on the small side but still felt open due ti design and layout.
We really appreciated the friendly, helpful manner of Jason and Niko at the front desk and other staff. . They added to the fun of our Brooklyn holiday. And the hotel is in a great location and has easy access to subway for excursions to other sections of Brooklyn and Manhattan.

Problem with shower. Asked front desk to fix. When got back to room it had been completely cleared of personal items during day (food, drinks, luggage). Luggage only thing returned... with my room # written on it... in BLACK MARKER. Complained at front desk but was given no explanation (or apology). Only offered a free snack... and, threatened by front desk that they would kick me out of hotel if I continued to complain.

I stayed here a few weeks ago and had a great stay. The room was bright thanks to the large picture window, and whoever designed it made great use of the space. The foldaway desk & shelves on the walls were super smart touches I haven't seen elsewhere. I'm very tall and found the large subway tiled shower to be a highlight of the room. Yes - a hotel room in NYC at this price won't be a massive space, but I never felt cramped like I have in other places.

Tons of places to visit in walking distance of the hotel.

I did extend my stay at the last minute and the staff were very helpful with helping me stay in the same room.

The Hoxton is a beautiful hotel right in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn’s most happening neighborhood. Some highlights- Check in is a breeze. They are dog friendly. There is generally plenty of street parking available very close by. Subway is only 5 minutes away, and there are plenty of other transit options. The snacks, food, and drinks are all fairly priced, not any more expensive than if you go out to the local bodega. Winterly, their rooftop restaurant, is amazing with great views, great brews and delicious food with great service. Overall this hotel far exceeds expectations for a solo, romantic, and even possibly for a quick business trip if that’s your speed. Highly recommended!

We had the most wonderful stay at The Hoxton in Williamsburg over the holiday weekend. You can tell the thoughtfulness they put into everything in this hotel, from the menus in their restaurants to the chic, user friendly design of their rooms--from which we had a sweeping view of the manhattan skyline! Their lobby is also a great place to order lunch and get some work done. I have to give a special thanks to Marshall, Dan and Elaine who could not have been more friendly and accommodating at the front desk! They really colored our whole experience with their genuine warmth. Will definitely be coming back for another stay next time around.
