I could have and almost chose to stay somewhere else, but this place had a "Deluxe King Bed Rooms" Thats what I booked, specifically a deluxe king bed room, it was a rare weekend for me and my wife, no dogs, no kids. I walked up to the ONE person at the counter to check in and was told, sorry you dont get the room you booked, you get a room with two queen beds. Not one one to yelll at employees and realizing no manager was there in the evening on a saturday I simply said ok. Went to my room, and was treated to a lovely view of the roof! The room looks nothing like those pictures on the website mind you. I wanted some air that night and went to open the window, NO crank! I had to unplug the tv at night and it barely turned on. its like they are trying to run the motel on a skeleton crew, with i guess a full hotel since i couldnt have my room. Breakfast was surprisingly good, but the last moring, they had ONE PERSON handing out breakfast, one, with line of people. They ran out of coffee just as I got there, and there fix was to go somewhere in the back and get coffee by the CUP! How many places have you been where you simply helped yourslef to coffee? Most of them, Im willing to bet. I want to say my beef has nothing to do with any of these employees, but managment, I have a HUGE issue wth you. I have traveled all over the world, all over the US, all over Alaska, this was among the worst lodging experiences I have ever had, ever and really put a damper on my trip.

Hotel's Favorite
We stayed at the Westmark during our trip to Fairbanks. The rooms are large and clean. The staff were friendly. They have a breakfast buffet that was included in the rate. It was filling and the normal buffet items, eggs, bacon, toast, etc. They provide a wake up service if the Northern Lights are visible which is a nice touch.

Hotel has nice lobby. And nice restaurant, but when we stay here , something was wrong with their ventilation that adds fresh air to the room, we chat even take a nap, our nose get dry. We change the room, it get better but still something wrong. Also all their plumbing systems and toilet sooooo loud and noisy that wake you up when some on on the hotel used toilet or shower.
