Svens hostel is by far the friendliest place I've ever stayed. If you are ever in Fairbanks, this is the place to stay. Super clean bathrooms and kitchen and comfy and cosy accommodation. It's like going to stay with family. Big thanks to Trae, Kassie, Nora, Sven, George and especially Otis for making me feel so welcome.

We adored staying at Sven's basecamp. Everyone there was super friendly, the facilities were super clean and the grounds so quaint. The adorable treehouse we stayed in was a bonus!! We loved it!! It was so nice to experience hostel life again!!! Also, they were super welcoming to our pup Emma!! Major bonus points for that!! Thanks for having such...

We booked a private room for August back in January. After flying all the way from Australia, we showed up to the hostel only to be told they were booked out!!! I showed my email from January confirming my booking. The young lady (Nora.. I think?) was extremely nice but informed they had had computer troubles and lost all the...

Sven's is lovely, the staff are very helpful, it's near stores and the bus. We camped and stay in a private cabin. All the common areas are well kept. The cabin was clean and cozy. Camping can get a bit crowded but still a very positive experience. Great Wi-Fi.

We needed a place to stay but did not feel the need to spend the $200.00 per night on a hotel. We needed somewhere to sleep and somewhere to shower and this was an amazing find. Upon checking in, Sven showed us to our cabin, the community kitchen area with refrigerators and stove that could be used by everyone, and...

We stayed in the treehouse and got free sleeping bags, which we needed as it was quite cold. However, the provided sleeping bags were great and comfortable. The treehouse has power outlets and a comfortable bed. Most people meet in the evening at the table outside the kitchen and share their travel experience among each other. We would stay again...

I happily spent 3 nights at Sven's Basecamp. Sven and his staff are very friendly and happy to help answer any questions you might have. The property is beautiful. Large trees and green grassy patches for tents and badminton games. The bathrooms are very clean and well maintained. Showers are coin operated, also very clean and nice. We made friends...

Sis-in-law and I stayed here one night on our way to Denali. Even though our plane was delayed, and we arrived at 10 p.m., Sven had a staff person there to greet us, get us checked into our cozy cabin, gave us a clean fleece blanket and nice sleeping bag at no extra charge, and showed us the kitchen, including...

The kitchen, the showers, the cabins, the treehouse, the campsites, the firepit (always with lots of firewood) etc. etc. etc. Sven is an amazing host and has earned the respect of many travelers and locals...
