I had an amazing experience at the Lodge. Anita is so organized with every single detail to make you feel welcome. I only stayed for one night but I was very lucky to experience the lights with the rest of the guest. Everyone there goes for the same reason and it was so nice to share such an amazing experience...

Anita, the owner, was a wonderful and very gracious innkeeper. She has the foresight to have additional coats, gloves, etc for guests which was much appreciated. MY idea of cold, and the Alaska idea of cold are not the same, so the extra warmth, while photographing the Aurora from her B&B was a bonus! The meals were delicious, and having...

We thoroughly enjoyed this place. It is a bit rustic, but perfect for the setting. The center breakfast/living area is great for meeting the other guests, as we discussed our Northern Lights strategy. Mike, the manager, was friendly and engaged with all the guests. Rooms were clean, comfortable and warm, which with the minus 20 degree temps we appreciated. We...

Was recommended the lodge by friends who have been visiting Fairbanks for several years and was not disappointed. Very comfortable and relaxed lodge with great facilities, warm and friendly staff who cannot do enough to help make your stay as great as it can be. Great location too - for anyone who is looking to stay out of the city...

Great location and setting. Ample breakfast, coffee always available and there's a guest kitchen etc should you want it. Anita gave us loads of tips for things to see and do. Overall just a real friendly place.

Great place to stay in Fairbanks and see the Northern Lights. It's so nice to be able to come inside and warm up while shooting the lights. The 3 dogs roam around and they make you feel like you are at home. They are so friendly. Keena slept in our room one night. Beds are extremely comfortable. On top of...

Love this lovely lodge. Anita is a great host to us. She prepares lovely breakfast and gave us a lot of tips about getting around in Fairbanks. Love her dogs too, Keena, a black Labrador and two other small dogs. They roam around freely in the lodge and would visit our room. The lodge is about 10mins drive from nearest...

The hostess was very nice so I feel bad for saying this but this place smells bad. The hallways, the rooms, the common areas all smell overwhelmingly old and musty. Even the water smells bad and tastes a bit off (supposedly due to manganese). Obviously not something the host can control, but still, not pleasant. The bedding was rather worn...

Just stayed at the lodge last week and really enjoyed the hospitality, comfort and food provided by Anita, the hostess of this lodge. Great views of the aurora from the north side of the lodge. Close to town and all the interesting places to visit. Anita was a great help in planning our visit. Kitchen facilities available downstairs if you...

We were introduced to Grizzly Lodge by Gondwana Tours. Anita and her pups made our stay as comfortable as home. Breakfasts were phenomenal, rooms warm, cozy and clean. Northern Lights fantastic 4 of the 6 nights there (Feb 2016). Great balconies and open yard for pictures and viewing. The best was the hospitality of Anita and her staff. It's the...
