We stayed for two nights and were okay with the hotel's performance, although there is room for improvment. Room cleaning was finished only half way. The cleaner didn't take care of one of our beds and also not of the bath room. When we went to our day excursion, we were promised in the morning that their shuttle bus would pick us up late in the evening upon our arrival at the tour company's HQ. Then in the evening we were told that they could not do this and we were lucky that the tour took customer service seriously and gave us a free ride to the hotel. Breakfast was okay, although the hashed browns were kind of cold. I am not sure if I would stay there again. If I am ever back in Fairbanks, I would at least research online about other hotels.

I booked my group of 17 travelers at the River's Edge Resort in early September this year. Everyone loved the cottages by the river! This place was charming and quaint with lots of character. Clean, comfortable with a beautiful patio with table and chairs facing the Chena river for relaxation. I will take another group there next year! The restaurant was also the best in Fairbanks!

We enjoyed this resort, the cabins are very quaint. The cleaning personnel could have done a better job. The front desk staff could definitely been more helpful. The restaurant on the property was nice. Loved sitting outside along the river. The waiter William "The Waiter" Bourke was a really fun guy. He made our evening. We just ordered apps and he was great with that.

It's always fun reading other reviews for a property I'm about to reflect my own views on. In this case, I can say that I was put up in a cabin with views on all three sides of ... other cabins! Lol. I'm not sure where river view cabins are but they aren't anywhere near this one (#111)! That being said, what I can comment on was the cabin itself. From the outside I thought these were individual cabins but once inside it was easy to hear that the cabin was actually half a cabin, as I could hear not just that other people were through my wall, but the wall was so thin that I could hear every word they said, and at one point could hear details of such activities as them brushing their teeth. There's a door that I assume is for a connecting cabin formation if you want it. I don't know what it looks like from the other side but on the first night the people on that side seemed set on getting into it as it kept rattling on this side (imagine your closet door rattling as if someone's going to come out of it - it's a freaky thing!). The doorway was also a major source of sound from next door. Of course, even in hotels you get that curiosity when there's a locked adjoining door but usually they're more secure and done with two doors back to back and no door handles in the middle so that it's a case of both sides having to open their side in order to create the open doorway. I'm not sure how this set up works as there isn't a door handle on my side, just a lock for a key. But I digress! The room itself is perfectly nice and comfortable. There's a TV, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, a little drawer space and a little hanging space. In the bathroom there is a shower over bath and a toilet. Separate is a basin. There was soap provided and some makeup wipes but nothing else ... not even shampoo in my bathroom, no matter how hard I investigated shelves. I found this a bit weird but as it's an RV park maybe they expect everyone to bring their own. As a flying traveller who only carries carry-on, free shampoo and other amenities makes fitting liquids into those little clear bags easier so no shampoo was a slightly alarming thing for me. Luckily on instinct I had one I'd grabbed from previous hotel. Note that I didn't ask reception if they did have any amenities. It's possible they do provide them and my cabin was just overlooked in receiving them... Anyway, would I stay here again as a no-RV traveller? Maybe. It is near the airport and near the riverboat tour but not near the township itself. The cottage was okay but the noise of paper thin wall was annoying. Maybe If there are some standalone cabins that aren't shared quite so audibly, that would be good. And maybe a river view would be nice... I wonder where those ones are .. hmm But yes, I would give this place a second chance, depending on reviews at that time and maybe a better investigation via the website. As far as sound goes, there's always a chance of noisy neighbours, no matter where you stay, but the neighbors I had weren't noisy. They were just doing normal things like using the bathroom. Hearing that is something I'd prefer not to hear, and an interior door rattling was more than a little annoying... But hey it was clean and tidy and there is air conditioning. Curtains are wide enough but not long enough to stop the light getting in, which could be a problem for those who can't fall asleep on long sunlight nights. The short curtains could easily be replaced with longer ones... But overall it seemed a perfectly nice place to stay. I'd stay again but only after researchon here to pick out specific cabins to request.

we stayed here for a night on the midsummer solstice. Our pitch was a back in one (no problem with that), but it is was small and manouevring in between other rv's was challenging. There is elec and water hook up, but just a communal sani dump. the site adjoins a river, on the western edge of the city. the WCs were only averagely clean-could be better
