I want to start by saying, my daughter planned our trip. I am not a bed and breakfast guy and wasn't looking forward to staying at one. WOW did Melanie at the Alaska Heritage House change my perspective! The house is a historic landmark which is impeccably beautiful and well-maintained. The breakfasts were Fantastic and our room as large, well-decorated... More

We just returned from a week at the Alaska Heritage House and in all areas it far surpassed our expectations. The interior is incredible. It is one of the oldest homes in Fairbanks and every aspect, including all the furnishings makes you feel that you are living in a glorious past. The breakfast is full, delicious and varied every day.... More

Gorgeous rooms, delicious breakfasts, freshly baked cakes and other goodies for guests throughout the day and night. Melanie was our hostess and she was friendly without being too talkative, knowledgeable about the very interesting history of the house. We loved our stay.

We made hotel reservations at the last minute because were wanted to be flexible with our trip. We had pretty good luck except for Fairbanks, we couldn't find anything on the hotels we were looking at. I had to convince my husband to stay at Alaska Heritage House- he was worried it might be kitschy. He was so wrong. The... More

I stayed in the Maid's Room, which was beautifully decorated and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. I was glad that there was a Keurig available to guests throughout the day as I needed a pick me up when I arrived.

I really loved that breakfast was served at one, large dining table. We had so much fun meeting other people staying at the B & B and had a lively conversation at... More
